My scanner is awesome. I am having a blast! I've scanned in many of my favorite pictures. And now I have a whole slew of new icons...er...well, thirteen, in actuality. But they're awesome, and I'm really enjoying Adobe Photoshop. I now officially hate Dell Image Expert and hope to never have to go back.

I'm certain that you are all heartily sick of the Wisconsin Firefighter Memorial Lion. Now I have many more lovely lions for you to look at.

I should have added some text to some of these...hmmm...I'll go experiment further...

Icon-making is an art, absolutely, and I am but a poor beginner in these matters...

Yes, I'm always wishing I knew how to create these little icons! The one I'm currently using was given to me as a 'house-warming' present from [livejournal.com profile] fantasteek when I started my LJ, but I really must make some others so I can switch around from time to time!

Glad you are enjoying your scanner!

There was a community at one time...harry potter icons or something similar...where people would put up icons for grabs, as long as you credit them.

The scanner is awesome! The scanner is now my latest obsession...and I've only had it hooked up for three hours.

Good luck with the icons!

Hey, check out this site.Big Cat Diary More lions than you can shake a stick at.

All week, the BBC has been in Africa filming various cats. It was fabulous!

Thanks for the lion link!

I love lions in art...sculptures and statues...lions in nature are impressive, though.

Can't wait to see the icons. I wouldn't have a clue where to start. All mine are pilfered!

absolutely beautiful!! What a great collection of icons. You have a wonderful eye for framing and sculpture.

"Hawaiianlion" made me laugh out loud.

My favorites are Venicelion (I am a sucker for reflections in glass or double pictures through glass) and Harvardlady, which looks like Art Noveau, which I also adore.

Gatlinburglion is also gorgeous - I'd love to see a bigger pic of that fountain.

Sanmarcolion2 looks like my idea of the lion from the Wizard of Oz books, and makes me want to tie a red ribbon in his topknot. :)

The Gatlinburg fountain is not a very good pic...I took it several years ago...but it does make a great icon, surprisingly. The original is a bit overexposed and such.

I love the reflective lion picture...I wrote a poem about it after I returned home from Venice.

You are so right! Sanmarcolion2 is totally a WoO lion...hee!!

My... I didn't even know that was you with the new icon! ;) I checked some of your new ones out; very nice. There are days I get on a roll and make tons of icons, and then I won't make any for 4 months!

Enjoy Photoshop! Have you checked out any Photoshop LJ icon groups?

Hee! Yes, it's me, just...new and different!

Photoshop icon groups? Ooh, I'll have to look around. I've seen one that was about creating icons, but I didn't understand anything they were saying...I was way new at the time. I'll look into it again after I've experimented.

Check out [livejournal.com profile] 100x100_brushes when you get a chance. They have brushes for both Adobe and Paint Shop Pro. Since I use PSP, I don't have a heads up on any Adobe groups, but I'm sure there's many; I found several PSP groups when I was searching around. :)
