Fried. With a capital fruh.
Jul. 11th, 2008 10:48 pmI am absolutely melted. I am completely done for.
I'm so tired I can barely think. Chasing after a nine-year old isn't that big a problem, but doing it while having a round of insomnia AND the evil monthly curse is another thing entirely. At this point I am not able to form coherent thought patterns.
The roller coaster is picking up speed. Tomorrow I leave to take the kid back to WI, and from there we (the WI friends and I) leave for Chicago and what should be a super fun show (I am actually looking forward to it...No, really). After that, I'm home for a few days, then off up North to visit my parents and do a show in their teeny town, and then from there it's back home for a day, a teeny show, home for a day, a big show, then two days, then--Terminus, where I am presenting a paper with
gmonkey42. Not to mention the
crack_broom recs for August (I signed up, thinking I wouldn't be in the queue until November, but clearly I can't count) .
*blinks*
I have no idea where I'm going to find the time to craft, write the presentation, finish writing thank you notes, work on crack_broom recs, or even breathe. Thank heavens I can bring the thank you notes with me. And I've already written two of the c_b recs.
I am also bringing my Mary Sue materials (*snort*) so I can work on the paper part of the presentation, but eee--I am still nowhere near looking up the 100 stories I had hoped to compile. Fortunately, I think we can get away with 25 or so. In that case, I'm 1/4 done. whew.
So I'll be back a week from Sunday, and I'll be climbing under the covers and sleeping. I wish I could do that right now. Oh wait, that's exactly what I'm going to do.
*hugs the flist*

Date: 2008-07-12 07:57 pm (UTC)I've printed out about 40 pages of stuff I've said about Mary Sue in the past, so I should have no problem putting all of that together into a presentation--I've been thinking about it quite a bit, and that's something I can do away from a computer, even.
I don't plan on "writing" the presentation, because then I'll have to read it to the audience, which is really unnatural for me--I end up reading too quickly and I get scared about losing my place. It's much easier if I write a detailed outline (which I definitely will forward to you once I have it in a bit more appealing form because I rly rly want your input) and then I can just pontificate from the outline. lol.
Thank you a thousand times--and please thank Meghan a thousand times as well for helping! Because honestly, that's the part that's scaring me the most--the sheer volume of reading is staggering. I'm trying to cut it down to fics that are 10-11 chapters because it's a bit rough slogging through longer ones--sometimes it takes too long for that Flying Unicorn Animagus form to show up, y'know?
*giant hugs*
