One of [livejournal.com profile] _lore's recent entries reminded me recently of just how hot David Duchovny is as Mulder, and I've spent more than a few minutes today trying to find good Mulder/Krycek hurt/comfort, preferably with Mulder as the recipient of both. Especially with Krycek jumping in and rescuing poor Mulderkins from some evil nasty mean hurt-causing fiend(s). Actually, it doesn't even have to be good. It just has to be understandable. No, I have not been very successful.

However, it has definitely come to my attention that the phrase If I told you I'd have to kill you and its many variations are more than a cliché in this fandom. They're a way of life.

ETA: And I'm still behind on my flist. Er, all three flists. And I forgot where I left from yesterday on IJ and JF, and had to go and reread a bunch of stuff, but because some of it was replicated from LJ I got confused and...you get the point. *headdesk*

Y'know, I was never really in the fandom; I have only ever looked at the fanfic in the last couple years. It's hard because some of the links are dead now. wah!

But if I had known about fanfic while I was watching the show---eee! I would have written so much bad Mulder/OFC...

LOL. If nothing else, at least you're honest about what would have come out of fic-writing endeavours. =D

When I was in high school more than a decade ago, I discovered the Gossamer archive, and spent FAR too many hours going through the fic. I remember how painfully naive I was, and also what a lot of bad fic was at that archive. =D Good stuff too, but oh god, I still remember the bad.
