Off to Terminus

I'm so geeked! I can't believe it. I'm just packing the last minute stuff right now and getting everything in line--I need to write down my schedule and finish editing my presentation notes and write down phone numbers and room numbers and load the car.

I've put in two of my crack_broom recs--I hate putting them so close together, but being at Terminus makes it too tricky. I absolutely love sharing recs--this is so much fun!

It doesn't even seem possible that in five hours I'll be squeeing in person with gmonkey42!

I adore cons, I really do. And the best part about this one is that right after I get home I go on my honeymoon. Seriously--like three days later. Double vacation in one month! w00t!

Now if I can just get through the presentation anxiety...I wish we could give the presentation first thing Friday and be done with it, but it's the last thing Sunday instead, boo. Still, it will be a fun way to finish the con.

I had a dream about you last night; we were at a con, at a room party, drinking deceptively potent (because hey, oulangi made them) fruity umbrella drinks out of Tiki mugs, and we were filking. (Yeah, I don't get it either.) At any rate, we had been laughing about my predilection for men with large/prominent noses, and that of course led to Snape, and then we started coming up with a filk called "Baby Got Beak" to the tune of "Baby Got Back." But neither of us could quite remember how the original song went, and we'd had faaaar too many Tiki drinks, and we couldn't stop laughing, so I don't remember if we ever got past "I like big noses/I cannot lie" and the refrain, "Baby got beak/Baby got beak/Baby got beak."

As for the presentation, I have no doubt that you and gmonkey42 will do just fine. I'm just sorry I'm not going to be there to see it.

I missed you SO much. It just wasn't the same without you! I had a very good time, but seriously, I missed my Julian fix. :(

And oulangi sat next to me at the Snarry meetup and I did not recognize her. *headdesk* Goes to show you that I was running on idiot fumes all weekend...

And now I totally want to filk Baby Got Back.
