Am posting from the road. Thank goodness I bought Husband a broadband card for his laptop!

Met up with [livejournal.com profile] marginaliana and co. and had a fantastic, amazing dinner and conversation--I am already missing them very much.

The drive was annoying--lots of construction. We are now in Yarmouth, our destination.

We did pass by a rest area with a bagpiper standing and playing next to his car. I am not making this up.

And now we are at the Motel "Condo" of Much Disappointment. I am serious. The bed comes down from the wall (Murphy bed) and is not even the size of the full bed we have at home. And the full bed barely fits us as it is (remember, I am a big girl!). There are no places to put our luggage, because there's only a front room and a bathroom. No luggage rack. Almost no furniture except for a bookshelf and an entertainment center. Argh!

All I wanted was a working tub and a queen size bed. I'm now afraid of trying the tub tomorrow morning.

Thank goodness it does have a fridge and a microwave.

Talk to you soon, flist.

This will be nothing more than a little "bump" on an otherwise great honeymoon...

Have a great time.

Wow, a Murphy bed!?! Just think of it as a chance to re-enact some old Hollywood movies. XD

I hope the rest of it is better than the "condo"!

I hope so! I was really hoping for a nice oasis, a lovely room to rest and relax in...but this is more like a sardine can! Still, we are already having a good time. ;)

I'm not looking forward to several nights on this bed--it isn't exactly comfortable! But now that you mention it, I would love to reenact a few scenes...hee!!

And so far we've spent a very lazy day checking stuff out and eating and shopping at Filene's Basement. hooray for being lazy!

Yeah, we're just going to deal. I mean, it's not like we're planning on living here forever...it's just that there are certain, er, honeymoon activities that need a sturdy bed, y'know, and I'm a little worried about this one. *grins*

haha but if you break the bed, think what a great story that will be for the grandchildren! After you explain what a Murphy bed was, of course. Or get a motel room under an assumed name one afternoon and pretend you are secret lovers. :)

No honeymoon is perfect. They are fun and like nothing else though. We're thinking of doing one every year for the rest of our lives.

I knew you were getting married, but I didn't think it would be this soon. Sorry I missed it! Congratulations and I hope you have a long and happy life together.

:) Yeah, we tied the knot on June 28th. I am still surprised by it, honestly. I've been sloooowly changing my name, but still, sometimes I totally forget about it. That's the hazard of having been together for eight years first, methinks...
