Cape Cod vacation pics, part one
Aug. 25th, 2008 07:58 pmLighthouses and windmills and crabs, oh my.
I can't remember the name of this lighthouse...Nausset Point, perhaps?

Windmill at Heritage Gardens.

Scargo Lookout.

Marconi beach, the site of the Marconi wireless station, which slid into the sea years ago.

Great Marsh. I half expected to see Gollum lurking about.

A pond at the Wellfleet Audubon Nature Sanctuary of Animalness and Marshy Marshes and the Occasional Tiger.

Tidal river. This would have been a lot better had I not been lurching to the left as I took the pic--I had to crop out quite a bit to straighten the pic. Boo.

There were crabs in the tidal river.

Seriously, crabs.

Yeah, Marconi does make a bit more sense. ;)

Date: 2008-08-27 12:20 am (UTC)The weather was nice for the latter half of the trip--there were a few storms in the beginning, and when we went to a farmer's market in Sandwich we got drenched!
