Great Marsh. I half expected to see Gollum lurking about.

A pond at the Wellfleet Audubon Nature Sanctuary of Animalness and Marshy Marshes and the Occasional Tiger.

Tidal river. This would have been a lot better had I not been lurching to the left as I took the pic--I had to crop out quite a bit to straighten the pic. Boo.

There were crabs in the tidal river.

All this is in or near Cape Cod? What a lovely area! I especially like Marconi Beach and the lil crabbies. Thanks for sharing these pix because they are inspiring me to do a little vay-cay up there someday.

Oh yes, this is all from Cape Cod. It's a beautiful area, and it's really wonderful for vacationing, I promise. Just make sure you take a really good map with you!

There are tons! When we were in the Provincetown tour van, the guide answered her phone and said, "All the lighthouses on Cape Cod? Er, no, you can't do that in one day!"

Lovely piccies! At least you had nice weather (if less than ideal accommodations).

And I read that as Macaroni beach and I though 'hey, a beach made out of macaroni - cool!' then I hit the part about the wireless station and realised that they probably didn't name it the Macaroni wireless station. And then re-read it.

Yeah, Marconi does make a bit more sense. ;)

bwahahaha! Yes, the Macaroni Station would be a lot more difficult to use, one would imagine.

The weather was nice for the latter half of the trip--there were a few storms in the beginning, and when we went to a farmer's market in Sandwich we got drenched!
