It definitely has that level of earnestness, oh yes--but that Snarry, it exists in a world of its own. Perhaps even a universe of its own.
I've read a lot of badfic in my day, but that Snarry takes the cake. It's even worse than the fic where Voldemort turns Harry into a baby, Snape into a crib (a thinking, feeling crib) and Remus into a stuffed wolf with a glass eye (which contains his soul and if it's shattered, bye-bye Remus).
