The rain and the sun

valis2I forgot to check my domain business email for a week, and I just opened it up to find that I'm going to be sourced for one of the projects in a major craft magazine. This is great, and awful. Great because people will check me out. Awful because...omg. I think the product has been mislabeled, which is going to draw enormous ire from a few, and also, I think it's from my leftover bags, which means I don't have anymore, and it's absolutely nothing I want to feature--in fact, I don't even want to put it on my website.

In other news, I'm nearly finished with the Riptide fic. 25K. Yes. 25K. Turns out that I probably should have signed up for Snupin Santa after all--apparently I did have time for fic. But I'm glad I didn't, because I'm afraid that the difference between the Snupin and the Riptide is that I was absolutely yanked off my feet by the Riptide idea and spun about, which resulted in a great deal of energy spent on it this week, and the Snupin might not have grabbed me so hard, and I have a strong feeling that I wouldn't have been able to finish in time. So hooray for not being an irksome thorn in someone's side this year. And hooray for Riptide for making me put words into the void.
Words. I can't believe how good it feels to write. I can't believe how much I missed it.
I have only to write the epilogue. I'm going to reread it and see if I can do that right now. I'll start posting it in sections at the Riptide comm, starting Sunday. Wow, I've never been one of those people before--you know, the really with-it writers who actually finish a long fic before posting it.
I'm so buzzing right now. So buzzing with words. And I must really work on packing things for the move--I have managed to put together and tape close about 15 boxes--but I have so much more to do, only I'm trapped in King Harbor with some hot guys. haha! See what I mean? Rain and sun.
