Have just utterly wasted fifteen minutes rereading some Mummy bit of drivel I wrote ages ago just so I could respond to another review saying I'm not so smrt. Well, I'm not, but still, I really wanted to figure out what the reviewer was talking about, so I went through to see where I made the male character Islamic (he is Druze, mentions the Koran and Allah, but the Druze religion is rather unusual and incorporates lots of things, including sometimes the Koran and Allah, so I felt justified in this), and after I reread it I could see that I hadn't written him as Islamic; he is Druze, as I thought. I even dug up this Wiki page on the Druze and everything. And then I realized that the review was anon, so I can't respond. *headdesk*

Now you all get to see the fruits of my labor so I don't feel like it was useless. (Oh, and if you do read it, my research for it sucked. Yeah. It was all from a thrilling turn of the century book called Black Tents of Arabia. It was my first attempt at a romantic fanfic story, and it's pretty sad.)

Also, worst eBay week in forever. Worse than even the summeriest week this summer. Damnit.

I had something else to bitch about but I've forgotten what it was. So damned tired I could fall asleep on the keyboard. In fact, I think I'll go to bed now.

ETA: Have remembered what it is, and it's all about eBay and it's boring even me, so I'm still going to bed.

ETAETA: Now I've really remembered what it is. It wasn't the eBay thing. I just realized that I completely forgot to read the flist tonight, for the first time in months. Am totally shocked at self. Still going to bed. Will catch up tomorrow morning.

We had to learn about the Druze as one of the "Sects of Islam" when I was at college.I'd forgotten about them until tonight!

They are really fascinating. Though my fic is hardly a realistic depiction, lol!
