Off to the wild wild West.
Jan. 23rd, 2005 10:09 amHere I go, on my yearly journey to AZ. I'm nearly ready to get out the door; just have to load my car with the last of the four zillion things I always end up taking. I hate not taking something and needing it.
It's a 'work' trip, really, as I will be at a booth for fifteen days straight. It isn't as bad as you would think. Some of the days are quite slow and I can zone out into story-land. I usually come back itching to write. Last year I came back and just went nuts with a few chapters right off the bat.
This begins the busy time of the year for me. I'll be home for a week or two, then gone for a week or two, right up until fall, most likely. I'll get to see other cities and meet new people and have strange adventures.
I will, however, miss my happy apartment so much, and I will miss you all very much. LJ has become such a part of my life. Since April I've been typing up my thoughts and babblings and it's really gotten to be a habit that I enjoy. I've met so many amazing artists and writers and photographers---this has really been a great way to spend time. I love reading everyone's entries. I read every single flist entry, honest!
So let me know if something major happens while I'm away, because, of course, I am going to miss out on a lot, and we all know that you can't skip very far back. I'll be returning on the 19th of February.
I will miss you all! Have a lovely, prosperous, healthy month, and I'll see you when I return!
*hugs*

Enjoy AZ...
Date: 2005-02-02 03:20 am (UTC)I took your advice, and I got an LJ. (To remind you, I'm private maladict's anonymous beta.)
Hope you have a great time. And, when you come back, may I friend you?

Date: 2005-02-18 01:18 am (UTC)Right now, I'm in the midst of beginning to post a very difficult fanfic, which several people have been good enough to recommend, Getting Harry Back, two chapters of which are up on Schnoogle on fictionalley. Don't know whether all that high drama was getting to me and I just needed to release. But I suddenly found myself thinking in limericks.
There are worse disorders. I treat many of them. Unfortunately, I don't have a treatment plan in place for this one.
Sigh.

Date: 2005-02-18 01:27 am (UTC)I'm certain June will get back to you soon...I'd guess that she gets a lot of e-mail and she is very active on LJ, so, I'm certain that it's not the poetry, it's the time factor.
I have been quite looking forward to reading your fic! I'll get to it in March, and I can't wait!

Date: 2005-02-18 02:58 am (UTC)Am I mistaking something? It doesn't seem like a simple download? And what, pray tell, is a mirror, and how would I know which "mirror" to select?
And if you don't have time for fussing w/ a very nervous technoklutz, I will entirely understand.
