Dig it. I recently went to a funeral with a web address written on the back of my hand in bright purple ink. It took a week to scrub off completely. Hope you don't need the map again, but I can't wait to read the story.
Oh wow! I used to write on my hand here and there, but this was too long, lol.
And the map turned out to be a really good map, and now I'm bummed that I wrote on it. At first I thought it was just a closeup of downtown, which I don't really need, but then the back has this great giant Chicago overview...
Oh well. I have a couple atlases in the back, too, so those'll have to do. *nodnod*
And I can't wait to finish this little story! It's just a teeny Nick POV thing, but it could be fun. (It will no doubt be Murrayless, though, I warn you.)
AWESOME. Would make best icon ever. love that it reflects that moment of inspiration :)
and better material for writing than fast food napkins. I always have ff napkins in the car, even if I don't buy it often. I have been known to stop in, use the bathroom, and pirate a stack of napkins out the door. I've used them to jot down notes, directions,a nd phone numbers,a nd they shred so easily.

Y'know, for just a second I thought of that as well, when I did the original scan and the thumbnail popped up...hee!

I only resort to napkins as a last ditch effort--after all, my pen of choice is a Sharpie, and they do not do well with napkins. *nodnod* Hence my delight at finding the Chicago map. ;)
I never have any of that stuff, except maybe a pen. And I forget everything. I don't even want to think of how many story ideas I've forgotten! I should really start carrying a notebook, honestly. *nodnod*
Believe me, it took some doing--I am a mapaholic. But I had nothing else to write on, and it was paper...and besides, I have other maps of Chicago. lol.
Cool! My vice is the back of library slips, you know, the little printouts they give you with the due dates on them? That or ATM machine receipts. Perfect size for a drabble.
hee! I think this is the map they gave us when we went off somewhere on foot. I don't remember where we went--oh, wait! The museum! That must be it. That was so much fun!
