If you missed the Wavedancer Project, which is my reread of a romance novel I started to write about thirteen years ago along with my modern-day commentary, you can read it here. If you're just interested in reading the commentary entries, they're here. I know that a few of you were interested, and I apologize to everyone about how the entries were spaced when I originally posted them--I just didn't have enough time to space them out as I would have liked. Anyway, there you go.
Garage sale of doom is coming up. Can I just say that I am thrilled, and absolutely terrified?
This is going to be a busy month. I've been sorting merchandise like crazy, and doing a revamp of my eBay store, and I'm just completely pressed for time. For once, I know what I have to get done, and I'm just trying to go forward and do it. Plus, I have a show to do for my WI friends, and I have a show in my parents' little town, and a show in OH. eee! There are not enough hours in the day.
From FOAF, I've received a lovely set of Magnificent 7 h/c recs. I'm really intrigued by this fandom. Especially in this AU ATF world. More on that later.

Date: 2009-07-01 07:10 pm (UTC)And you didn't ask for a rec, but I'll give you one: "Call Me" by Maygra. ( http://wordsmiths.net/Maygra/mag7/callme.html ) Assuming, of course, that you like the explicit slash, which I can't actually remember if you do or not. Sorry. Anyway, if you do it's a faboo story and totally what tipped me over the edge into *adoring* ATF.
Also I have a couple of ATF wallpapers if you're interested. :D

Date: 2009-07-01 08:30 pm (UTC)See, that's what I find so totally incredible. I'm completely fascinated by this! I mean, there are a few universes in HP that people play with, but nothing like this--I'm so interested in how it came about.
And yep, explicit slash is just dandy. And I'm very into the story, though I can't help that I like Chris to be the h/c recipient, lol.
If you have any other recs, please sound off! I'd love to read more Chris h/c stuff.
*giant hugs*
Have I mentioned that you rock?

Date: 2009-07-01 08:41 pm (UTC)(And ::points to icon:: I also made some ATF icons.)
I'd also be happy to help hook you up with pictures of the guys--though, erm, well there's a picture at the start of Call Me and the dude in it who's not Michael Biehn is Eric Close, who plays Vin. :D (Mmmmmm!! ::fans self::)

I doubt I'll write in this fandom, and it's probably just a momentary fixation, but there's just something about it which intrigues me.

Date: 2009-07-01 09:03 pm (UTC)Oh, I said *exactly* the same thing. Exactly. And I said I'd never write Old West because historical fandoms are a pain in the ass (they really *are*) and I didn't need that kind of aggravation. That lasted until I watched the second episode.
And VERY quickly it became *totally* the fandom of my heart because it's just *that* awesome. And the guys are just *that* fine. And Chris and Vin together are just ::swoons and sighs::. :D
Despite my adoration of ATF I've only written the one story in it (the Riptide crossover which I'm pretty sure you read). But OMG I get the little thrill of fannish convergence whenever *any* ATF agent appears in any other show I'm watching. :D
(Oh, did you find the Ur-story in the ATF fandom, MOG's "A Birthday In the Present"? That has a hurt Chris and is the story that started the whole AU.)

Date: 2009-07-01 10:45 pm (UTC)hee! Well, I have to say this--Starsky & Hutch have completely captivated me, and I still don't have the urge to write for it. It's a very weird combo of things that makes me want to write, and it's only ever gelled in three fandoms, despite me reading several more than that.
Still, never say never...

I can't stop thinking of that story!! That's what started this whole quest into the ATF AU, seriously. It's marvelous!!

SERIOUSLY?! YAY! That's what I was hoping for, to find the origins of this. OMG THANK YOU!

And it's very yummy h/c with Chris hurt. :D
When I finish Homecoming, I might turn my hand to a bit of ATF, just because I do adore it with a burning passion. And I've potentially got a sort of a fraction of a notion for a sequel to Tides, where the Riptide boys wind out in Denver and need the help of Team Seven.

Date: 2009-07-01 10:56 pm (UTC)I found a M7 h/c recs page (http://www.deathdogs.net/mag7hcfanfic.html), but I am having trouble decoding it. I mean, what the hell does OW mean? Oh, wait, I get it. Old West.

I am so there!

Srsly?!! That would rock the house! OMG. Now that I know a little more about the M7 boys I should reread Tides. Yum!

And I'm *not* going to get caught up in another plot until I'm done with Homecoming, so I'm just going to make one wee little note in reminder here. And then, when you see me post the mighty capslock squee that Homecoming is done you can comment (if you like) and remind me of this:
One of the RT guys is hurt, probably Cody...not sure why they're in Denver, but I think they're being pursued by Bad Guys, very Bad Guys with ties with, I dunno, something that would tie in with the "explosives" part of the ATF's mission. Anyway, Nick's hurt and they show up at Vin's apartment in Purgatorio (Murray got the address through his mad skillz because it's sure as hell not listed anywhere)...bad guys are right behind them. Go out to Larabee's ranch....
It needs a lot of work, but it's a place to start building something.

Nick's hurt? You just said the magic words. I would have read it anyway, but with Nick h/c, I'm totally aboard. omg, yes.
It needs a lot of work, but it's a place to start building something.
It sounds fantastic! I'm already drooling, omg omg omg.
And Larabee's ranch...sounds like a home run. *is totally excited*

Date: 2009-07-01 08:26 pm (UTC)I don't even know what they look like, except for Chris. (I'm a Michael Biehn fan. yum!) So I don't even understand the pairings yet, though I've figured out that I like Chris/Vin, definitely. ;)

Why, certainly!
Hmm. So far, I don't think any of them are Chris/Vin. One of them is Aftermath (http://dnf.slashcity.org/viewstory.php?sid=324), which is friggin' huge, but is helpful about supplying me with Who All Of These Hot Guys Are. I'm sure you know the author of that, BMP (http://dnf.slashcity.org/viewuser.php?uid=59), and the other recs are for more of their stories. I think they're all gen.
The other author recommended was KETanner, on the Chris/Vin archive. I don't have the link in front of me, but you probably know that author already, too. ;)

Date: 2009-07-01 08:59 pm (UTC)Oh, I read gen fic, too. I prefer slash, but I don't mind reading gen once in a while. And yeah, I know BMP and KETanner's fics. *g*
