The crafting classes were...okay. Not impressive. And my learning process is not compatible with the teacher's teaching process. Enough said.
The first two days in WI were spent in the strangest funk, mainly because I was writing so much when I left and I might have left in the middle of a bit of an emotional scene, and the emotions kind of lingered and made me feel the strangest sadness. Fortunately it finally dissipated. And then I wrote some HP stuff! Yes, really! More haiku. I can't wait to post it. I need to polish it a bit.
I'm home for only six days. I have tons of very relaxing and fun work to do. I plan to watch a lot of Retro TV.
Last but not least, I have just received a phone call from my very stressed father. Apparently my grandmother (my mother's mother) is "failing," according to the Assisted Living people. I am very skeptical about this, but my parents are on their way down here tonight, which makes me very unhappy because I don't like them driving across the entire state so late at night. The people at the home have been pretty far off-base about a lot of things so far, so I'm really not certain what's going on. (And please, no wishes for her recovery or anything like that. It would be the most merciful of releases for her to pass away, considering her advanced dementia. Very cold-hearted of me, but true.)
Missed you all so very much, and am glad to be home!
ETA: My grandmother has, in fact, passed away. Clearly I was quite mistaken.

Date: 2009-09-23 02:51 am (UTC)I do understand what you meant about it being merciful (I've had a couple of relatives whose bodies lasted much longer than their spirits, and it was cruel). So my sympathies to you and your family, and take care of yourselves. (hugs)

Definitely glad Gram escaped the dementia. I remember there was a Saga with her house. ;p
