Leisurely packing.
Oct. 2nd, 2009 10:09 pmI don't think I've ever packed for a show/trip like this before. I mean, seriously, I've been stretching it out all week. I've gotten ready rather leisurely instead of getting ready franticly. I have signs, I've prepped merchandise, I am up to date on eBay, I've listed new eBay store stuff and Etsy stuff, and I've printed out stuff and made business cards, and wow. Seriously. What a nice, relaxing prep this has been. I really should start doing this with every trip.
Of course, it's impossible. The only reason this worked out like this is because of the huge change in plans--leaving Saturday instead of Tuesday--and the very next trip I'll be right back to normal, procrastinating like mad.
Actual conversation with Husband that just occurred:
Me: Listen to this line I just read in a LotR fanfic: As [Legolas] walked he wondered again what he was doing here. He worried at what darkness he'd brought with him, and why no one had yet told him of what Galadriel had seen in her shinning mirror.
Husband: Seriously? With two n's?
Me [pretending to be Galadriel]: "My shinny mirror shows you many things...shins that once were..."
Husband [also pretending to be Galadriel]: "...and shins that may yet come to pass..."
