valis2 | Various and sundry, and out the door

So I was tagged by a couple people for a very small meme, and I will make it smaller by responding thusly:

Four places I go regularly: If by this you mean leave the house and voyage to, then I will say, work (which involves stopping at my sister's house, so they're kind of combined), the post office, uh, the grocery store, and...Wisconsin.

Four favorite smells: I have an awful sense of smell, but I do love the smell of bread, sometimes chocolate, most fruity smells, and the smell of a small rushing river.

Four TV shows I watch: Just list the roster of Retro Network. lol. Okay, fine. Incredible Hulk, Simon & Simon, Magnum PI, Knight Rider. On DVD I watch Riptide and Miami Vice (and very soon, Starsky & Hutch).

I'm gearing up to leave again, though it's a pretty short trip; I'll be back on Monday.

Leaving like this often allows me to demarcate things in my life. For example, my next trip isn't until mid-January, so when I come home on Monday I have a nice full month to do stuff. And I look at that time as Sell Extraneous DVDs And Magazines As Well As Get My Paperwork In Order time. I don't know if this will happen, but it makes me feel somehow like I'm not procrastinating right now, because the time is allotted.

Of course, you all know what will happen. On January twelfth, I will look at the pile of paperwork and scream OH NOES.

I think this will be a nice trip. I'm going to be helping my friend a little with her latest book project (non-fic) and we'll be celebrating her birthday. Plus, we'll watch some trashy TV shows together like we usually do. And since it's so short, I'll be back before I know it, honestly.

My sister hauled my Christmas tree out of the crawlspace of her house. It's been there for six or seven years, because we never had room to store it at the apartment. I'm actually going to set it up this year, I think. Pretty surprising! Last year we didn't because we'd literally just moved in. But I thought it might be nice. I'm not known for my Christmas spirit, honestly, but we are hosting Christmas day at our house, and once in a while I do have warm holiday thoughts.
