Pond pics...now with snow

12-14-09 The pond looked really beautiful with its first coat of snow, but sadly I couldn't capture it because by the time I got home at night it was too dark. So here it is after a few days had passed.


12-18-09 New snow fell at some point.


12-19-09 How it looked this morning.


I don't know if you can tell or not, but it started snowing just a minute ago, so I had to take another.

I have to agree with you completely--I do like the look of snow, but I hate the cold more and more each year. :(

I swear we're reptilian, just cannot get warm on our own ... and hate the cold, the shoveling snow before work at idiot o'clock, the messes it leaves everywhere, the cold to the bones feeling I cannot shake. Ah well, it makes spring all that more welcome and wonderful.

In about 5 years or when the state gets straightened out financially, we plan on moving to CA anyway, though still not decided on where.

Oh, I love CA. It's glorious. So many different beautiful regions, too. I really was thinking about moving there, but since we bought this house we're pretty much tied to it. :) The housing market in MI is not particularly conducive to selling, and I doubt it will be in the near future either.

And yes, all the more reason to look forward to spring.

You've got such a nice place, it's worth sticking around. I like it out here (but not the winters!) and the job is great, but I crave milder temps, and the sea, you know, for the SQUIDS!
