In a ferocious burst of energy I wrote chapter 64...all 3200 words...in just about four hours last night. It poured out very easily. In fact, a friend read it, and said it was the best chapter so far. I went back and re-read it and thought, hmm...this did turn out well! So I just went ahead and re-read it once more, fixing a few errors, and uploaded it. It feels so good to get it out there! This morning I had three reviews already on fanfictionnet, though one review turned out to be "You made a canon error", stating that Katie Bell is only a year older than Harry & crew. But the Lexicon says otherwise...it says that Katie, Alicia Spinnet, and Angelina Johnson all finished their Hogwarts education in 1996, so they wouldn't be around for Harry's sixth and seventh years. Hmm. Anyway, the other two reviews were happy, except they want another chapter now.

Chapter 64 is part of this mini-arc within the story itself, and it's the scene I first thought of over a year ago, when I first thought up the story. So it's been brewing in my head for a long time. I've probably written it at least ten times from start to finish in my head. Even so, it doesn't sound quite like what I was thinking it would. I'm really, really happy with it, though. And it's so important to the story...the giant "centerpiece", if you will. Once this arc is finished there won't be much more to write. Perhaps another twenty chapters, at best.

Boy, LJ is dead. Nobody is around. I wonder what's up?

quickquotes mentioned my ginormous essay from the other day...that was awesome. quirkyhpshorts was mentioned in both qq and daily_snitch, which makes me happy. And they announced Quirky Challenge #2, as well. Tonight I hope to add another piece or two to quirky. Unless I procrastinate more.

I need to go shopping today and do all of the errands that I so naughtily put off last week. Lots of phone calls, etc. And I have friends coming over this weekend and the apartment is at its very worst EVAH. I am still processing that lot of merchandise. I absolutely must finish in the next two or three days so that I can re-sort the closet and get everything cleaned.

I should really leave the internet alone for a while so I can get things done. But it's just so much fun...

Missed a few chapters as have been swamped by work; on the plus side, that means I had the joy of reading them all at once. Greatly enjoyed, both the building hints of romance and danger. And the bonfire chapters - made me glad I was reading them all at once instead of having to wait ;).

Severus walking slowly enough for Sarah to keep up was a lovely touch, and I loved the turnip scene. Bonfire chapters were very tense; rather touching that Lucius was loyal to Severus and wouldn’t participate (so the next chapter, when he did - ouch...)

Noticed a minor typo in the last chapter you might want to fix before you post to the other sites; “You will be lucky to leave her with you own.” (here with your own).

I am even more anxious than before to see how things play out. Great job!

I can't believe that typo! I have now read the chapter five times, and a friend has read it, and neither of us caught that. Argh!
