I am a champion wibbler
Jan. 12th, 2010 06:47 pmSo I finally talked myself out of carting giant heavy desktop computer, scanner, monitor, printer, two rolling carts and countless other things like boxes and bubble wrap to WI with me when I leave next week. After all, I will only have time enough for two auctions, and that just doesn't seem worthwhile. I mean, I might be able to squeeze three auctions in, but still. I'd have to take the broadband card with me so Husband would have no access to the internet, which is bad because he needs it for class.
Anyway, I've just come to grips with it all, and said my peace, even though I'm a little sad because a) I am rather fond of commerce, b) I will have time in the mornings to work on this, so now what will I do for two and a half weeks? I guess I'll write, and c) I hate being absent from eBay/Etsy for too long because people forget you so easily, and this is usually a good time of year because everybody who is experiencing snowtopia wants craft supplies. But compared to the awful endless lugging, I was thinking that I shouldn't bother. But now I have a sudden teeny spike in sales and I'm all sadface because of a and I don't want to miss out on it because it's kind of a rush and wah. Wibbling again. Just a little.
Headache of doom. I need new glasses so badly. I spent all of today just staring at page after page of Excel spreadsheet formulas and how-to in order to solve a rather thorny little problem. I think I have it, too. It was nearly working when I left, except the bastard would make Excel crash whenever I tried to evaluate the formula. oh well. It is a thing of beauty, if you like that sort of thing.
Stopped at Bath & Body Works. I've used their bubble bath every day for at least...oh...fifteen years, I think. I love it. And it looks like they're discontinuing most of the scents. Woe! Woe! And their super clearance sale was not very cleary. It wasn't as good as their last two. Woe!
Asked an employee for help at Best Buy, and he said he'd go check for it in the Nebulous Back Room, but he ended up completely forgetting about me. I don't blame him, as a woman with an outrageous accent interrupted him as he was walking back to the Fabled Back Room and that probably completely short-circuited his short-term memory.
I think I'm going to bed early tonight. I know, I say that every night, but ow. Head.

Date: 2010-01-13 11:44 am (UTC)My other worry is that because I get paid only at the very end of the month-long trip, we'll have to somehow survive without funds coming in for a month, except for Husband's paycheck. So that's why the eBay/Etsy would be helpful--I could be depositing money while there.
Oh well. And thanks for the icon compliment! I love that I have a logo. Even though I'm generally not red and scary like that. Except in the morning.
