Husband and I went to Meijer (department/grocery store combo) today. While I was wandering around looking for plastic tweezers, he somehow ended up in a conversation in the razor aisle that went like this:

Woman: *mumbles something to Husband*
Husband: What?
Woman: Your wife shouldn't have to use your razor blades.
Husband: My wife doesn't use my razor blades.
Woman: Years ago I always had to borrow my husband's razor blades because we didn't have these women's blades to shave our legs.
Husband: My wife doesn't shave her legs.
Woman: Well, how about for you?
Husband: I don't shave my legs, either, ma'am. Thank you and have a good day.

Funny, huh? Poor Husband--he draws strangeness to him almost as much as I do. ;) Nice to see you, too! And yum, icon.

LOL

Couldn't she have bought her own set of razor blades, even though they were the same type as her husband's? As I understand it, the only difference is the color of the plastic handle anyway. I buy the "men's" ones if they're cheaper.

Was she a store employee trying to sell more razor blades? Or just a wacko customer?

She was a customer, but she was older, probably in her sixties. She must be remembering a time before fancy women's razors, lol.

Hee! For a moment she sounded like a sales rep. Why would she then insist your husband buy some for himself? Weird!

I've always used the men's. They are usually sharper/with more blades and cheaper. Soon as it goes pink it adds a euro to the price it seems. Not that I ever needed many. I don't shave much either. (Europeans, you know. Yuck! *g*)

I think she was just out of her gourd, lol.

I was a little horrified that he was telling random strangers that I don't shave, but it was just so funny!

A lot of the women's blades have more moisture strips and such. I don't think they really make a big difference though. I will buy whichever is cheapest.
