grah, my eyes

valis2I got in to see the optometrist today. He dilated my eyes, so I'm basically sitting here in the office with the shades drawn and I'm leaning back nearly three feet away trying to type this.
Good news: my eyes are healthy.
Bad news: He has no idea how to fix this issue. He thinks it might be my closeup vision, because I'm getting to "that age." But because he had dilated my eyes, he couldn't administer the close-up vision tests, so now I have to go back on Thursday before I head out of town to visit my parents.
I had a lot to do this afternoon, and it all depends on being able to see it. Fixing photos in PS, getting listings ready, drawing some designs for a new thing I'm doing, crafting--can't really do any of it.
And I still have a headache.
bah. I think I'm just going to take a break and watch something on TV (from a good distance away, lol). It'll make me crazy to not do something at the same time I'm watching it, but I don't have much of a choice.
