...like, a pool system of sorts, and we draw them when we need to? grah.

My mom is coming over to stay with us for a night, and she'll be here in twenty minutes, and yes, I still need to do a bunch of cleaning.

I have at least 100, maybe 200 listings left to do for eBay and Etsy. I gave up on doing the clothing auctions for now, but they need to be ready for Sunday, no excuses, so that's another five or six hours of work there. Not to mention that I have started an Artfire shop and I need to start stocking that, too.

I pulled a bunch of weeds and need to get them into a lawn bag. And Husband was going to take care of the chimney pots where we grow herbs, but I think he didn't understand the entire method, because he never added any soil to any of them. Also, he had no time to plant tomatoes or zucchini while I was gone. I am going to try to see if I can find plants at Bordine's today because my mom wants to go shopping there.

I have to put together a few eBay shipments and get stuff ready for the bank and stop at the bank and the post office.

I have 20k left, at the least, on my Riptide fic, and I have so many story ideas and thoughts for new stories that I am, quite frankly, overwhelmed.

We are having a Fourth of July party next weekend and we still need to get the sunporch ready, which means moving all of my experimentation stuff out of the sunporch because children are involved.

My schedule through September is fairly packed and I'm a little freaked out by the number of things that will be occurring.

Okay, enough whinging, off to clean.

I'd be so overdrawn on extra hours these next two weeks, so kind of glad that pool doesn't exist...

I've been reading through old journal entries, and all of my posts pre-parental visits sound like this one! OK, some of the details of what needs to be done are a little different, but the whole OMG MY MOM IS COMING thing is the same.

I did not miss the part about you having so many story ideas that you are overwhelmed. While I'm sure I sympathize, my main reaction to that was YAY!!!! Ahem.

hee! My mom is really super-low-key, honestly, so it's okay, but the house hasn't been cleaned much while I was gone. lol. It's okay, though, I got the big stuff done, and I will just forbid her to go into Husband's bathroom. lol.

hee!!!!!!!! That's awesome. My brain is generating waaaay too many of them right now. I've had at least three little cookie-sized fics I could have jotted down over the last couple days but I just didn't have time. grah!

Still, it is nice not to have to worry about new ideas.

PS: I am reading that Holmes/Watson story that [livejournal.com profile] regan_v recced. I assume that you're reading it, too--I am skimming LJ and I'm so far behind, but I'll bet you mentioned it somewhere as well. It's by someone named w a i d or something like that and I'm six parts into it and totally trying not to get consumed because, well, CLEANING. hahaha!

*hugs*

Yes, I recced that first on my flist (I am proud to say!) I know [livejournal.com profile] regan_v loves it too. It's excellent writing.

I've been doing a lot of recs and I'm wondering whether I should collect them all in one place or post or something. I have a lot of other stuff to do, though!

I am so totally into the story. (Sadly, I missed at least a half month's worth of flist stuff, just because I couldn't go far enough back. Wah! I wish they'd change the limit of entries you can look at on the fpage. That's probably how I missed your rec.)

And yeah, I totally can understand being too busy. And you're a parent, so I'm already always amazed at how much you are able to read and rec as it is!! ;)

Speaking of Riptide that theme is on my list of themes to mash-up. What show, in your opinion, would make a good show to pull video clips?

Are you asking me which episode of Riptide? Oooh! Dude, have you got all day? Because I could go on and on and onnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. lol.

No, not which episode. What other show to use in the RipTide theme song. I want to use the Riptide theme and cut clips from another show to fit into it.

Aw. Now I'm going to pout. Hmm...Starsky & Hutch has a lot of resemblance to the show in many ways, but that wouldn't be a funny mix, just a perfect complement. Are you going for humor? Maybe something like Land of the Lost or something. hee!

Sorry to make you pout. :(

I'm going for humour. Like the one I did using Doctor Who clips in the Mister Rogers Neighborhood opening...

For some reason Land of the Lost is sticking in my head. Maybe something with a robot, though, like Buck Rogers or Battlestar Gallactica (the daggit).

I've got Battlestar Classic but not Buck Roger. And I like the idea of using the daggit for the robot. That was gonna be one of the trickier things about that opening...

Holy cow, that is a crazy schedule! But yeah, four days off. That's intense. Good luck with that.

And yeah, the writing stuff is so much fun when the inspiration is flowing like that, isn't it? Though it's frustrating, knowing that there aren't enough hours in the day to finish it.

Also, I am SO sorry I didn't respond to your PM/email. I got a little behind. :(

I want all the hours I had when I was a kid, during summer vacations, when I'd whine, "I'm bored!" :-P
