valis2...I ended up reading a kids' book to the youngest, one about semi-trucks, which was published in 1979.
The author's note made me snort, so I had to post it here for you all:
Hope Irwin Marston comes from a family of truck drivers, and most of them own their own rigs. "Sometimes I surprise them with what I know about trucks," she says. "They don't know how long I have been reading trucking magazines to find out about trucking." Mrs. Marston's knowledge of trucks is extensive, for she is the author of Trucks, Trucking, and You.
hee! I am now imagining Mrs. Marston hiding under the blankets at night with a flashlight and a trucking magazine.
