This is what victory looks like.
Oct. 22nd, 2010 11:58 pmI am currently running:
*Photoshop Elements, with 160 pictures open
*Firefox, with 29 tabs open
*IE, with 2 tabs open
*Trillian, 2 chat tabs open
*TurboLister (an eBay program)
*3 folders are open with multiple files
*Semagic is running
*Word is open with a 233 page document, and another blank document
*Filezilla is open and connected to the web
And I am using 0-2% of the processer. OMG I LOVE YOU, COMPUTER
In other news, the cough is being stubborn. It's still not quite gone.
In other other news, I have gotten a ton of stuff done on the eBay end of things, and I've added a bunch of new items to the website. And I've shipped out 21 packages this week.
In other other other news, I almost had my first sale on my website!! Yay! But then the website had an error and couldn't process the order. Boo. But it's all worked out now. I'll just have to lure the customer back again. Thankfully, it's someone I know and I'm sure it will happen.
I'm looking forward to three more days of being at home, recovering, and working hard on my website and eBay stuff. I'm making a lot of progress!

Date: 2010-10-23 07:49 am (UTC)I had a persistent cough for about four months this winter. I eventually knocked it off with twice-daily garlic pills. (Either that, or it was going anyway.) They might be worth a try if you haven't already.

Date: 2010-10-23 11:51 am (UTC)Today I finally closed the tabs for local county absentee voting and for a lighting company because I just mailed in my absentee ballot request and finally phoned the lighting co. and ordered some parts for a lamp. :)

Date: 2010-10-23 04:39 pm (UTC)Computers are getting cheaper and more awesome. I know that I just helped my friends get one for about $1000, and it runs Windows 7 and has a fair amount of power. I went for "ridiculously overpowerful" in an effort to stave off buying another computer for a while. I hope to get 7 years out of this one, too!
And thanks, I hope that my cough disappears soon, too. :)

Date: 2010-10-23 04:42 pm (UTC)I am at the point where I really dislike garlic, though. Strangely enough, it's become rather ubiquitous in American cooking at restaurants, and garlic mashed potatoes are as common as regular mashed potatoes. It's kind of weird and garlic has started to upset my stomach a little, so I've backed off. Not sure about garlic pills, though. Still, this is just a lingering cough from a throat issue, and it's because I still have...um...crud in my throat. Once the crud is gone, I think I'll be fine. *crosses fingers*

Date: 2010-10-23 04:47 pm (UTC)*Yahoo email
*Gmail
*eBay summary page
*ArtFire
*Etsy summary page
*LJ fpage
*JF fpage
*Facebook newsfeed
*eBay clothing search page
*Heartomatic (Etsy stats)
*Google Reader
*Google Analytics
*Google Documents
*Website server email
*AO3 works page
*My blog dashboard
*Facebook page feed (that I'm monitoring)
*My website dashboard
Plus all of the pages I need to comment on. I open up tabs for every LJ entry I want to read further/comment on, and I open up tabs for Etsy forum topics and for Etsy articles I want to look at. Sometimes I have up to 100 tabs open.
That's nothing compared to work, where I can have up to 250, sometimes 300 tabs open, depending on what I'm doing.
And yeah, I love this computer! I can't believe how easy everything is now.

Date: 2010-10-23 04:51 pm (UTC)So for this batch, I had front and back images for some products, plus scale photos (which will only happen once, because I'm not going to retake those each time, but since these are the first...). So most of the products had 2-3 images.
Then, as I was in the process, I realized that some of the scale photos that I'd previously taken were larger than I needed (600 pixels wide, and I'd rather them be smaller so it's easier to load for people) so I opened all 98 of the current scale pics from my website products, and resized them to 300 pixels, and so at this point I had 160 images open.
Usually, though, it's only about 50-60. Still, except for opening them (which was sooo much faster than my old machine), the computer seemed bored with the process. lol!!
