Bleh.
I must point out that I've been incredibly lucky and haven't been sick in months.
Anyway...
Do you ever get the feeling that you're just not ready for prime time? I feel like I have this Not Good Enough icon permanently attached to my forehead in some ways. Like, oh wow, she's kinda funny and kinda creative, but just not funny or creative enough to really go places.
I have a friend who is TRULY creative. She is off the wall, yes, but what she makes...amazing. Everything I do is a pale imitation at best.
So, the truth is there is always someone funnier, brighter, prettier, and more creative than you. How much should you let that hinder you? If you can't create the best, should you still create? Wouldn't it be more logical and efficient simply to point people to the better artist?
Though there is something to be said for the individual viewpoint of every artist, and that they each have something unique to offer. Only problem is, once the uniqueness has been explored, where do you go?
