Last round of defriendings, mostly for [livejournal.com profile] deleterius and [livejournal.com profile] photojournals, which are taking up way too much room on the flist, and which I don't even read anymore. I've lost the amusement I once had at delet simply because I've seen so many of the fics, and it just isn't as funny anymore. In the interest of making the flist skip not 4,235,624 each time I return I'm going to stop watching them, especially since the rest of the month will be on and off again being home, and it already takes hours to go through the flist. I'm defriending a few more people who don't seem to comment in my journal much, and whose journals I don't seem to read. Ah, the guilt is already beginning, especially because they are people who have friended me in return.

I wish the process were easier, really I do, but I have so many people friended, and I need to cut down a little. This is a busy time of year for me. [livejournal.com profile] pen_and_umbra said something really perfect the other day, that the flist is always a work-in-progress, and I agree.

See you when I return!

Heh.
I defriended [livejournal.com profile] deleterius ages ago.
I usually only check now if someone whines at me that there are trolls.
Then again, the place pretty much runs itself.

That's pretty amusing. Though, once I think about it, it makes sense that you've probably seen every kind of bad!fic imaginable at this point, and why subject yourself to more? Heh.

I used to get quite a kick out of [livejournal.com profile] deleterius. Leaving aside the question of whether it's cool to mock earnest aspiring authors or not, if you've seen one "Hermione is Voldemort's long-lost pureblood daughter who saves the wizarding world by having hawwwtt sexx0rs with Draco Malfoy" fic you've seen 'em all.

Yeah, I rarely read anymore unless it's LotR or an interesting OT. There're just way too many Sisters of Potter for me to even care.

Going nuts. I just came back from MN and the show there, and now I'm doing a show in MI, and then I'm running straight back to WI...whew.

The unfortunate thing about the show in MI is that I have to stay in a hotel...so I have to drive back and forth between the apartment and home.

So I won't be able to spend a lot of time online, unfortunately. :(

PS: Your icon is so *adorable*!!

Bleargh on all of that driving. I don't see how you do it. I (a very long time ago) worked for Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment and had to visit 14 different Wal-Mart stores in a week. I drove 2000 miles a week. It soooo sucked. I listened to audio books the entire time. And hotels suck. ~g~

Oh, that icon came from some digital pics I took with my brand spanking new digital camera! When you get home (and have a bit of time) you can check out my major pic spam on my journal from this past week. I love that freaking camera! That pic was taken at our 2nd home, the used book store. My friend, Alan, owns it and we spend a lot of time there. Alex playing in the children's section and me, drinking their free cappuccino and chatting. ~g~ I never turn down a free cappuccino. ~g~

Wowza! You understand my driving woes then. I'm lucky that the only problem I have is getting a bit sleepy sometimes. Usually I listen to CDs and think about plots and stories and such. Audiobooks...I just can't listen to someone reading. I wander off and miss parts. It just isn't my cup of tea, unfortunately.

Am nearly to a pic post of yours...will be looking at it so soon!

I am dreading the day when I have to start de-friending. My f-list isn't anywhere as long as yours, but I'm already having trouble keeping up with it. I feel especially bad, because some of the people on my "to de-friend" list are lovely people. But I hardly ever communicate with them.

Have a good trip!

I just can't keep up anymore. I already confuse some of the people, and it's just getting worse.

The first trip was pleasant...next trip should be fun too.

Yeah, I confuse people, too. I have, I guess, a core f-list of people with whom I communicate a lot and whom I can definitely tell apart. And then there's this sort of semi-friend crowd, with whom I exchange a few words here and there, but probably wouldn't really miss if they stopped posting. The thing is, de0friending them wouldn't make much of difference to my overall "keeping up with f-list", because I don't pay that much attention to them anyway. (That sounds awful, doesn't it? But I'm sure they wouldn't miss me, either.)
