A brief update...
Apr. 6th, 2005 10:08 pmHome for one day (really). Will be staying at a hotel this weekend, so I won't be able to catch up much, unfortunately. Friends list is skip 750...I'm at 570 now...will try to finish before I go to bed.
Tiny update...the show was okay, not anything special. Did get to spend time with the ever awesome
barda and met an interesting friend of hers, and ate at a wonderful tapas place (delish). Drank a big tumbler of sangria at the Mall of America and then drank about a third of a pitcher at the tapas place. It is now my new obsession.
So
barda and I were sitting at the booth and a guy walks past us wearing a Slytherin backpack. Very surprising. Then it turns out it's his son's backpack. Father and son wander away. So
barda and I start talking about what House we should be Sorted into, and then it somehow went into Mary Sue territory, and then I was babbling about Draco & Harry's twin sisters (Harriet & Dracona) when I noticed that father and son had somehow wandered to the other side of the room and were behind
barda and the boy was staring at me with saucer eyes and open mouth as his father dragged him away.
I hope he doesn't really think that they have twin sisters. I've ruined a little child's canon world!
Even more amusing...I was unpacking all of the luggage from WI in the parking lot of my apartment complex a couple hours ago when I realized someone was shouting "Hey!" over and over again.
It turned out to be a three year old in an upper floor apartment window. I shouted "Hi!" and she said "Whatcha doin'?"
"Unpacking."
*unintelligible* "What you getting out?"
"Clothes."
"Do you have catsup?"
"Yes." (A complete lie. I hate catsup and have not a drop of it in the apartment. I'm going to hell now.)
*unintelligible* "...peanut butter."
"Oh, great. I like peanut butter too."
*unintelligible*
"Okay, bye!"
*unintelligible* "Bye bye!" (Also was waving at me, but I couldn't wave back, too much luggage.)
I've had an epiphany. I just don't shout "Do you have catsup?" at enough random strangers from my apartment window.

Aren't 3 year olds fun! My 4 year old says bizarre things all the time. Makes you wonder on their thought process. :D

So, once again you come to WI and don't tell me that I can drive over and see you. :(
And what's with the twin sisters thing? Is that a fic? Can you link me to it?

Date: 2005-04-07 04:27 pm (UTC)I was just outlining the common Mary Sues that I've seen on
Do you have catsup?!

Date: 2005-04-07 05:20 pm (UTC)My personal catsup is a lively little thing that was trying to climb the living room walls last night to get a moth that had gotten in the house and was fluttering a foot from the ceiling. There was a lot of "get down" and "bad kitty" from both me and L last night, and bumps and thumps even after we went to bed and all the lights were off. Sigh. Gotta love 'em.
