...by [livejournal.com profile] aerynstales, here goes...

1) Total number of films I own on DVD/video:

About fifty on DVD...about ninety on VHS.

2) The last film I bought:

Er...I can't remember. Let me think about this for a second...um...oh yeah! Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, yet again due to [livejournal.com profile] aerynstales. *grin*

3) The last film I watched:

Blade: Trinity. I was so looking forward to a new, fun popcorn movie, but instead this turned out to be nearly unwatchable. I love the first two, but will not ever rent this horrid movie again.

4) Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me:

Since I've done memes where I've talked about the Important Movies, I'll just do films I watch a lot...

Flash Gordon...I love it so. It's awful. It really has an earnest awfulness that could not be duplicated again under almost any circumstances. Max Von Syddow is perfect. I love the costumes, the horrible effects, and the weird dubbing.

The Adventures of Robin Hood (Errol Flynn)...so energetic, so fun, so full of life and technicolor! I love this movie. Errol Flynn is simply infectious.

The Three Musketeers (Charlie Sheen version)...yum! The beefcake...oh, and my lovely Kiefer...this movie is such a guilty pleasure.

The Black Swan...Ah, Tyrone Power...you, and your brazen pectorals, are cordially invited to my home at any time. Say hi to Tommy Blue for me.

Vampire Hunter D...subtitled...so much glee. "Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" Love the angst, the hard-bitten Gary Stu hero...so much enjoyment.

5). Tag 5 people and have them put this in their journal:

Eh, I think enough people know about it already.

YES!! Yes, yes, yes!! Could not agree more! Wonderful in its awfulness!! Sam J.Jones total inexpresiveness & Melody Andersons fangurl Dale "Flash! Flash! We only have 5 hours to save the Earth! Flash!!" and Oh.My.God. Ornella Muti's Princess Aura. " No..Not the BORE WORMS!!! Fadda...damn you Fadda!!"

Ah but Brian Blessed, Max Von Sydow and that classic soundtrack from Queen..yeah..that's what I'm talking about!

(Hugs Valis tightly.) "Valis Friend." *sigh* Ah Errol.

That movie so rocks. It captures the serial styling of Flash Gordon with modern glitter. My mom loved the original series, and she adored the movie. Soundtrack by Queen definitely helps. They are old-fashioned/modern/glitter.

The costumes for that movie must have been a blast to design and a bitch to make/wear.

Do not make too much fun of the Italian girl's English. It's cute.

Brian Blessed so kicks butt in everything he does. It's incredible. Brian Blessed's voice would do well as the voice of Aslan, too. I mentioned that on a thread once. He's funny, serious, and everything in between. Love that man.

Brian Blessed: "What's this?"

Flash: "Humanity."

Brian Blessed: "Madness!"

Princess Aura and Prince Baron...oh, I love those two. The more I watch the movie, the more I get absorbed by their relationship.

Have you seen Montana? Errol Flynn *sings* in that one...it's rather sweet.
