My Favorite Clichés:

1) Snape returning, broken and weary, from the Death Eaters Have Some Cruciatus With Your After Dinner Drink Meeting. I love it, love it, love it. I've read the good, the bad, and the horrible, and it still satisfies somehow.

2)

I've been completely sidetracked. Jean Claude Van Damme has just deflected a tazer gun discharge with a trash can lid, rebounding it to two cops and knocking them out.

I had a very long day yesterday. I'm still trying to recover.

I got up at 4am, left at 5:30 after a bowl of cereal, and then drove seven and a half hours to Illinois, had a disappointing time, drove another hour and fifteen minutes, had another disappointing time, ate a horrible, horrible grilled chicken sandwich at Wendy's that I regret utterly, then drove seven hours home, unloaded, and got into bed at 1am, then up at 7am to go to my day job.

Nothing like a twenty-one hour long day (most of it behind the wheel) to make you forget how to use words in a coherent manner.

Today I ended up staying awake only through the miracle of having discovered how absolutely awesome P J Harvey is. Uh Huh Her is awesome.

Afterwards I went to see a friend and had dinner at a Thai restaurant. Then back home to load up again for tomorrow. Thank goodness I have a little time to catch up with computer stuff tomorrow night.

Two more items shipped, and two more items sold on eBay! Oh, the happy. They only went for $1, but they are out of my house forever, and that is a good thing.

I am going to bed in another ten minutes.

The default lion icon sometimes makes me grateful because I can immediately spot my comments. Then other times I think, everyone must be thoroughly sick of it. I haven't been switching it much recently.

h/c is one of my favorite types of fic... basically all of Faculty-fic and most of the Lotrips that I love is h/c... but I don't read LOTR FPS at all. There's something very satisfying about a character taken down to his essence and then redeemed by love.

I love the vulnerability of it, I love the caring aspect of it...I especially like the moment where it all becomes too overwhelming for the hurt character, and the other character has to step up and help out.
