Before I decide to friend someone, I usually look at their last twenty or thirty entries to see what sort of LJ they have as a test run.

I always wonder if people have looked at my LJ and not friended because that week's set of entries were particularly silly.

"[livejournal.com profile] valis2? Oh yeah, I know her, she babbles about jell-o molds. No way I want that level of absurdity on my flist."

But it's so tasty and delicious and minty like prawns in the morning dew of gnashing teeth with piranha pirates and steel jaw traps that bind and leave the giant whale stranded on the beach with naught but a popsicle stick and then there's no ending to the dark bleak house of wrath that opens your oven with claw fingers and reminds you of the moment when he really didn't love you anymore in the gloom of my wild ice princess that you never liked anyway...

Rabbling on about bunny-shapped jelly molds - I bought one the other day, funnily enough. it's rather scary when filled with strawberry jelly and fruity bits - would actually encourage me to friend someone.

I like a bit of randomness in ye olde friends list. The occasional gem makes wading through the shipper wars, art wank and Snupin fics entirely worth it.

Yes, there's always that entry about brushing elbows with a yeti that breaks up the continuous HP parade.

Shame you've been blacklisted, though. I wonder if this means you have to hand in your Official HP Towel.

Honestly, babbling about silly funny stuff beats whining about people backstabbing them and boys who don't like them after they hooked up at a party. Jello molds are a definate bonus. :)

But it would be a very boring world were we all the same. In fact, I was on the phone with [livejournal.com profile] scatteredlogic the other day and we were talking about our favorite people on LJ. I said, "I really love [livejournal.com profile] valis2. She's so neat!" and SL was all "Me, too!"

See? We lurve you. Lots. ~g~

Did you ever get the video game system hooked up? My friend, Paul, has every single game system he's ever owned. We were playing with his Intellivision the other day. Too fun!

When I read this at work today I was so touched! You guys are great.

I lurve you lots too. *hugs*

I bought another little adapter box for it, but haven't tried it yet. I think the machine is sad and that makes me sad. I, too, have nearly every system I've ever bought. Except this Odyssey 2 was never played, not even once, so I realized it's insane to keep it, and now I find that it might not work. Wah!

I have tons of games for the Atari. I even have (believe it or not) the ET game that always makes the Top Ten Worst Videogames Ever list.

If they don't friend you because they think your entries are "silly", then they don't understand what a good-natured person you are and may not have a sense of humor. And what fun are people without a sense of humor?! :)

Aw! *blush*

Honestly, I was just wondering aloud, and not expecting everyone to be so huggy and sweet. Thank you so much!

And we have to have a sense of humor, or we'd never make it through the day.

Yes, reading your lj is why I didn't friend you. No, wait, it was YOU that didn't friend ME!!! That was probably because you never got to see all those FABULOUS "friends-only" posts I had. Oh well...*shakes head sadly*

Hmm...but you have me friended so I can check out those friends-only posts whenever I want! And I have no friends-only posts, so you're not missing anything, honest.

Besides, we chat!

What's wrong with jello? Everyone needs fruit-flavored congealed horse hooves at some point in their life.

Sadly, I might. I know I have one shaped like a fish. Be that as it may, anyone who doesn't think jello is worth journaling about isn't worth friending.
