To be human is to crave

For the last week I have been craving a lemon I tasted in Australia. It was called a "bush lemon". It was like a regular lemon at first, and then it melted into a surprisingly sweet aftertaste.

It is getting cool, and I crave warm, soft scarves.

I have been craving a good long walk alone with my camera in a cemetery I've never been to.

I have been craving Faramir h/c fics, for some reason.

Anyone else craving something unusual?

Hmmm, funny you should mention lemons... I have eaten two regular lemons tonight, and been told I have exotic taste because of it. ;-)

What else do I crave? A chocolate fudge cake that I ate in London... at Pret a Manger. So good! Yummilicious.

I've never heard of a bush lemon! Where did you find that? (I love lemons, so I shall have to hunt it down). I grow lemonades in my garden - although the cockatoo mafia are inclined to eat them first.

I sampled one in...Mareemba. Near Cairns. On the Cairns Food & Wine Tour. The guide said that they are native to Australia.

I'm still trying to figure out how I can get them here in the States...

I'm craving the onset of summer proper - the heatwave that leaves you sweating if you do anything but stand perfectly still, when you can open the windows wide at night and don't need a blanket. Then again, I'd prefer it if this happened after the holidays start.

I'm also craving a lot of the usual things, such as weekend and holidays and a certain someone... :)

I'm craving wearing snuggly socks and scarves, because winter is just around the corner.

I wish it only lasted a few weeks, though. I get sick of being cold very quickly! ;)

The good thing is I'll be in sunny Arizona for a month of it.
