Rita Skeeter? Loved.

Moody? What an unusual performance! I cracked up.

Voldemort? Loved the interpretative dance.

Severus? DAMNIT NOT ENOUGH SNAPE ARGHGNASHTEETH.

Karkaroff? Needs dentist. Badly.

Huge portions of plot excised? Aw, I wanted to see veela. Waaaahhhhh.

Strange additions to plot? Er...why? Though honestly, the Neville Longbottom Smooth Man on the Dance Floor was terrific.

Character who popped up all the time? Ginny.

Twins? Funnier than they have been in the books. Honestly.

Draco? Where are you?

Oh, Draco's absence means more Lucius? Good-bye, Ferret. Hello, deliciously excitable and rather disheveled Lucius at the graveyard. No, keep ranting, sweetie. Mmm.

Favorite moment in the movie? Er, you're all going to say "wha?", but it's when Madam Maxine knocks the ceiling lamp aside as she enters the room after Harry has been confirmed as a Tri-Wizard Champion. Honestly, I thought I was going to roll my eyes eleventy million times at her, but she was just fine, and for some reason that moment just whacked me upside the head. I love the movies for those moments. The moments when you remember it's a magical world.

Harry's ridiculous jump out of the water and swandive back in at the beginning of the merpeople challenge? Ugh. Er, I should say, computer-generated-Harry, I think.

Emo!Hermione? Wow. Lay off the sugar.

Percy? Waaaah!! Where is Weatherby?

Krum contact lenses? Now THAT pissed me off. The whole point of Imperius is that you can't tell people are under it! That's why it's so scary!

Barty Crouch Jr? What happened to your lovely, moving, wailing scene where you can't believe your father is putting you away in Azkaban? What the hell is it with the silly frog tongue mannerism? I certainly hope that's not method acting.

Final Task? WTF!! I wanted a sphinx! Not some stupid Shining uppity carnivorous hedge.

And my favorite impression...

Not having to see a single house-elf in the entire production? Priceless.

Re: Krum - you know, I think it's worse, I don't think he was supposed to be under Imperius. That speech Dumbledore gives about the maze "changing" people...I think he was supposed to be reacting to the maze's weird magic, not Barty's imperio. I could be wrong, but that was the impression I had...

Oh, so that's how they justified it. Sad that it bears no resemblance to canon. *sniff* Just another section where they had to movie-fy it in order for casual filmgoers to figure it out.

I thought the same of Krum with his milky contact lenses. No one is supposed to know you are under Imperius. Du-uh. Why couldn't they have made his eyes look normal but add an eerie little light-reflective glint (sort of like a cats eyes looking normal but reflecting strangely under certain lighting) so that the audience could cue in that he was under a spell.

No, not enough Snape but I tell you, the potions storeroom scene was priceless. GAH.

Potions storeroom?

Details, pretty please? Reading all these spoilers is such sweet torture.

OHGOD the potions storeroom...the way he did the whole Veritaserum thing...mmmmmmm. Totally delicious.

I wasn't totally happy with the Dark Mark on their arms, but honestly, I still wanted to see Severus bare his.

I laughed my head off for a good thirty seconds after I read that. Thank goodness the hubby wasn't at home, because there's no way I could have explained to him what was so funny without seriously incriminating myself.

For me, it was Lucius and Draco in their sleek black suits at the World Cup that had me drooling on my popcorn. Ooh la la. Gotta love a sharp dressed man, especially if his son's looking good too.

And apparently Tom Felton is turning 18 this year, so as soon as he blows out his candles, I am officially not a pervy old lady anymore.

Though I still cringed throughout the entire movie at the lack of robes, I've just begun to accept it as par for the movie-course. And Lucius definitely was a sharp-dressed man. Though when isn't he? Er, except for Azkaban, though if anyone could pull off vertical stripes, it would be Lucius. :)

Hee! Well, there are definite problems with it, but it really was a good movie overall, and I enjoyed myself.

I saw it last night, too. If you care, you can see what I wrote on my Eljay.

I tried not to let certain things get to me - like why the Weasleys weren't in the Minister's box. And the stupid KKK hoodies the DEs were wearing. And the dresses instead of dress robes...deep breath...

Overall I have to say this was the best movie. And I honestly think it was because it finally had a Brit at the helm. He gets it.

I figured the eyeball thing was so they didn't have to waste time explaining that Krum was under the curse, but the whole 'the maze changes you' thing kind of muddied the waters.

And yeah, Rita was awesome, but that's because that actress is awesome.

I didn't get emo Hermione - I thought the crying at the ball was good, even if not canon, because it was a nice hint that she had a sort of thing for Ron. Who, that all the gods, wasn't a doofus in this movie. Finally. And at least she wasn't Girl Power Hermione this round.

Mike Newell. Best Director.

I enjoyed it a lot, even though I have several problems with it, just like yours.

You're no doubt absolutely correct about Krum's eyes.

I thought that Hermione was a bit schizo at the ball scene, and they gave her too much to do with too few reactions from the boys. I was not happy with the scene, but it could have been worse. :)

Mike Newell is an interesting director, but he does sometimes go out on strange limbs.

I dunno, I remember being the schizo 14-year-old girl at the dance. And with much less provication than Hermione.

You bet. Miranda rocks, and then some.

I loved her vocal quality in this. Just enough nasal and whine, with a pinch of bravado and Barbawa Walters tossed in. She made every scene she was in.

Yay for having an actual Brit as a director! Since all the actors are British, it makes sense that the director should be too! I think this is the best of all the HP movies.

And soooooo much to perv over. Jason Isaacs, Stanislav Ianevski, and yes, the Weasley twins were hot too... I was all Pervy McPerverson the whole time.

There was SO MUCH to lust after on each and every screen that I was a bit overwhelmed.

I think AR looked better in this film than he did in the last two. I kept playing "Spot the Snape in the Background"...it was quite fun.

And potions cupboard...mmmmmmmmmm. Oh, yes, I'd love some Veritaserum.

Agreed on all counts, although Maxine bothered me as much as I expected. Although the lamp scene was great. But what was it about her picking something out of Hagrid's beard and eating it? Eurgh.

Oh, potions cupboard, how I love thee...

Yes, the picking/eating was gross. And I wasn't happy with Maxine's fashion sense...in the book she was a bit of a clothes-horse, and here, she looked like a Sears optical center clerk.

Count me in the Pervy-party too.

Lucius....Krum....Diggory...Oh, the yummy Weasley TWINS. And Barty Jr. was rather tasty too. Draco was looking mighty fine, I'll add.

Made for some SA-WEET dreams that night, I can tell you.

Waaah..... luvly boys, wot?
