Part Two of drawings I did at age eleven
See Part One or you'll be confused. Well, less confused, at any rate.

Killing of Mad The dragons are intelligent enough that they meet and possess names. This one is named "Mad". So it's okay to gang up on him and kill him. After all, he's Mad. And it looks like he has rabies too.

Killing of Mad pt 2 What a sneaky, no-good dragon! This is an innocent civilian! How dare you dangle a saw blade into a happy little cloud.
I am very much wondering where the "Ha Ha" is emanating from.
Thank goodness you are drooling and the cat will discover your nefarious plan in time to save itself!

His highness I like the royal cat here. He has a "Mid-Twinkle" sword which is very impressive, and a bejeweled scabbard and bejeweled whiskers to boot.
I love the little naughty Mary Sue-cat at the top, with the Mata Hari look. Watch out, though! She is a member of the Shuriken Forces! She even gets to put two "S" symbols on her balloon and a naughty little grin. Yes, she looks defenseless and come-hither, but just get close enough and you'll be sorry!

The great wyrm's death "We're off to kill the Great Wyrm..." they sing so gaily. Seems like there's a pretty strong headwind too, especially if you look at the balloon cat in the lower right-hand corner.

The great wyrm's death pt 2 You just know this is a Great Wyrm simply by examining the length of the hula skirt. No Ordinary Wyrm has a skirt this long.
Boy, that Eagle Feather can't wait to start in on the wings. That's why he's not a Thin Belt; he's too impatient.

The fall of a claw Another Rescue Attempt Gone Horribly Wrong as the Arrow Forces cat shoots right through his wounded brethren to get to the dragon. Oh, I guess he doesn't. Not that we can tell. (Paging Perspective! Come in, Perspective!)

The fall of a claw pt 2 But to no avail, as his friend falls to his doom. That's the problem with holding onto a balloon string, you see. Kind of slippery.
Now that I think of it...how possible is it to draw a bowstring when you are holding onto a balloon?
That's what I thought.

Battle song Bet it sounds a lot like "Annie Get Your Gun".

Battle song pt 2 We've already seen the difficulty of single balloons, and now we have a complicated balloon tree with several cats hanging from it. Obviously they like to live dangerously.
I love how the weapons are getting stranger and stranger. The cat in the upper left hand corner has a manriki gusari.

The small's trials Wow, the Smalls are killing the dragon all by themselves while the experienced warrior cats just watch!
They have lots of child-care issues in this world, I'm telling you.
At least we don't have to see a flip-side of this one.

Horrid's death I absolutely love the goofy looking creature that Horrid the dragon is riding. How sick is it that I want to make an icon of it? Heh. It's cross-eyed! And why would a dragon be riding anything? It doesn't need to! They've been flying on every page!
I guess they felt left out of the Forcing Other Creatures to do Your Bidding Party and wanted to do something on their own.

The grand processional It doesn't look very grand to me. And what are the crazy spiral head things?
Yet again we have a dragon who actually is part of the Forces. See, he is wearing a loin-cloth, not a hula skirt. They broke him.

The coming of the battle Singing cats, blah blah

The giant I actually kind of like this dragon. Rather exuberant.

The trials of an eagle feather Ha ha!! The dragon emerging from the ground is wearing a tube-top! Hahahahaha!!
The poor enslaved dragon is now adorned in every way with eagle feathers and a stripey saddle.
This is one of the last drawings, if not the last, that I did.
Obviously the Eagle Feather wanted to become a Dragon Rider, but wasn't making much headway.
Whew! Hope you enjoyed the torture.
A few years later I took part of the idea and put it in a completely unrelated story...I'll have to see if I can't dig that one out.

Date: 2005-03-15 04:01 am (UTC)Warrior Cats on the end of balloons. Inspired. The mystery of how to shoot a bow and not fall intrigues me mightily.

Damn that made me snort Diet Coke the wrong way!!

Date: 2005-03-15 06:36 am (UTC)Oh, that's fantastic. What was going through your mind? That's the question. I love "His Highness" and "Horrid". And you kitties... Did they have names? What I find most amusing though is the way all your creatures wear skirts/loincloths...
I'm gonna have to post my comics, now. They're nowhere near as imaginative, but are godawful in their own way...

Date: 2005-03-15 05:40 pm (UTC)I don't recall any of the kitties having names, but they must have, because one of the drawings is called "The Rescue of Tana". So I guess most of them did. Thank goodness I wrote the titles down or I'd be even more confused at this point.
When I took a Psychology class in high school the teacher told me that putting clothing on stick figures (which I always did) was a sign of sexual repression. Heh.
I was obsessed with Native American clothing, which is why the cats wore loincloths. No idea where the hula skirts came from.
Oh, I can't wait to see your comics!

Yeah, I'm sure you were very repressed when you were 11... Heh.

Date: 2005-03-15 03:58 pm (UTC)This comment comes from the girl whose parents often had to come to the teacher because she had 'too much fantasy'. I drove people insane as a kid.

Date: 2005-03-15 05:42 pm (UTC)I drove my teachers crazy. I was always writing stories. I found more when I was looking for the cats, and I'll try to put them up and MST3K them.

Date: 2005-10-29 04:53 pm (UTC)My margins were always filled with drawings, when I was in school. Even grad school. And given that it was a sign of my attention wandering, that is certainly a bad thing.

Date: 2005-11-29 03:12 am (UTC)I think that 7th grade math class brought out the latent artist in many of us. It must be something to do with the need to give the left-side of the brain a rest (or maybe math is just plain boring?). I used to scribble pictures of historical costumes (big surprise there...).
Thanks for sharing this!

Ooh..historical costumes! Now that sounds cool.
