...so I was actually watching a bit of TV. Haven't watched a lot in the last year...due to LJ. *grins*

Anyway, I used to craft a lot, and I used to watch a lot of the same movies over and over again on the once-fabulous VCR. Now that there is a tape stuck inside of it (argh! must get fixed), I end up watching cable. Normally I can't find much, but I realized that there are a few movies that I watch anytime they're on cable and nothing else is on. They are not movies that I would ever purchase. Ever. But I find myself listening to them and occasionally looking up at interesting noises.

  • Any Sean Connery James Bond movie.

  • Those Tomb Raider movies.

  • Any Jean Claude Van Damme movie.

  • Road House.

  • Harry Potter. (of course.)

  • Chuck Norris, every once in a while.

Do you guys find yourselves leaving movies like that on in the background? And do you prefer bad action films as well, or something more exotic?

Oh, all of those are fantastic. Especially the Bond films. Especially the Connery Bond films.

I find that I like to have stuff like that on in the background.

And even if I'm purposely watching that movie just to watch it I find that my attention span requires several breaks. Such as the one I'm on now, to read LJ, whilst watching Batman Begins Mwahahahaha :D

xoxoxo Merry Christmas dear!

Hee! Yes, I often interrupt movies, too, to run over to the computer...we are so addicted. *hugs*

And Merry Christmas to you as well, sweetie!

Heh. I thought I was the only one who did that. Steven Segall movies in particular. I have no idea why. I don't particularly find him attractive or appealing, and he's certainly not a good actor, but if there's nothing else on, I'll inevitably leave those playing in the background.

Ah, yes, Stevie is terrific for this, too. I love the fact that in many of his movies the moves aren't quite as slow and ponderous as they are in, say, a Chuck Norris movie. Sometimes you get the feeling that Steve really could take on ten guys in a pool parlor and win.

I always have to have a movie or tv show running in the background when I am crafting, otherwise I get bored with the crafting really quickly. I also have to have the tv running when I am working at my dad's store - I do data entry for him after hours and just sitting there in silence, typing away would make me nuts after about a half an hour.
It almost doesn't matter what kind of show/movie it is, although I do seem to gravitate to repeats of CSI. Probably because I've seen all the episodes so many times I don't need to look at the tv to know what is going on.

Yeah, at my day job I always have to listen to music or I'll fall completely asleep.

Oh, yes! CSI repeats are terrific. I love that show so very much.

And looking up whenever Warrick is on screen is quite rewarding. ;)

I do that a lot. Usually with films I already know off by heart, so I can just look up and pay attention to my favourite scenes. Such as Snape in Potions class... ;)

Have a lovely Christmas :)

I don't usually do movies because I end up watching them and not getting done what I need to, but mindless TV, that's another story. In college, VH1 was on all the time, especially when I had to write papers or had reading to do. For some reason I need something to tune out in order to really concentrate.

I love fashion shows right now, but I remember I had a job years ago at a video game rental store. I watched MTV nonstop then. It was great to have it on in the background for most of the day.

Though I ended up seeing "You Can't Touch This" about 249861094856 times.

I would end up watching those red carpet shows every time they replayed them, which was about the same number.

I love fashion shows too. And I'm also a fan of E! True Hollywood Story at the moment as well. So much drama!

I don't watch a lot of TV these days--only having the one set taken over by teenagers watching The Simpsons and Southpark (how many channels and how many times a day are those things ON???) has as much to do with that as LJ. When I do sit down to watch I have a hard time finding anything worth watching. I do find myself stopping on movies I've seen a dozen times though--more often than I'd care to admit.
That is if the Food Channel or HGTV are running something awful, which is also more and more common.
WOE!

haha! I bet that somewhere in the States either a Simpsons or SP episode is always playing.

I'm pretty into What Not to Wear and How do I Look?

Occasionally I get lured into Alton, or something on the History Channel. I am not into nature documentaries unless they're about octopuses.
