And the state of the valis union address.
Feb. 18th, 2006 08:09 pmI am soooo trying to catch up on LJ. Some people have written no entries in the last month; some people (looks pointedly and amusedly at
atdt1991) have written novellas. I'm just through the A's. whew.
I am now pretty much hooked on Lost, damnit.
barda gave me this amazing chocolate bar. It's described as a "Barcelona Bar: smoked almonds, grey sea salt, dark milk chocolate (40% cacao)". It is 90% delicious and 10% insane.
I have so much to do in RL. I'm avoiding it all.
I bought 2 sweaters, 5 shirts, and 2 pairs of jeans at Lane Bryant today. Wow. I went a bit overboard, but it was worth it.
I saw Underworld 2, and it was lovely in its popcorn enjoyability. (I hate popcorn, and never eat it, but I like Ebert's description of fun movies that don't tax the brain too much and are enjoyable as popcorn movies, so I'm stealing it.)
I got an enormous ego boost when I logged onto eBay. Lots of lovely positive feedback!
And then another ego boost when I checked Occlumency. Someone wrote a review: are you sure that you're not j.k. rowling? this is absolutely smashing! Makes me feel nice and warm inside, though of course it could just be a joke. Also, I have fourteen people in the valisfic yahoo group, which is pretty great, considering that the last chapter I wrote was before I started the group, so most of my regular readers haven't seen a link yet.
Someone defriended me, was a new LJ friend, probably thought I abandoned my journal. There was some other weirdness with someone else deleting journals and moving things about, and I'm still confused and won't get the full story until she returns, I think. It is interesting to see how the composition changes...it is slow, but over time it really does seem like the flist changes, and that people who used to comment regularly back off, and other people take their places.
That's all for now. I've spammed you enough for one day, obviously.
ETA: In a bizarre moment of coincidence, one of the judges on Iron Chef is the owner of the company who makes the chocolate bars that I just mentioned. *small boggling*
