I have a fic idea (from a dream, strangely enough) and it is so firmly stuck in my head that I think I have to write it. It's only a one-shot, but I lack the knowledge to base it upon.
What I need are details about British suburban houses. Y'see, a couple characters get stuck in a Muggle house, and I need to know the basics: names of things, locations of appliances, etc. Mostly the kitchen, like what would be in the cabinets...see, I'm not even certain they say cabinets, it might be cupboards or something like that. So lots of kitchen details, especially common foodstuffs that would be in the fridge, common floorplans, some details about landscaping, etc.
If anyone has any links with common London suburban house floorplans, or pics, or anything like that, it would be awesome.
Plus, most importantly, I would need a britpicker. I have the terrific

Date: 2006-02-24 04:51 pm (UTC)Some random things you might find in my almost-suburban fridge include Marks & Spencer organic yoghurts, Sainsbury's own-brand olive oil spread, coleslaw, cartoons of orange, apple and cranberry juice, several cheeses (cheddar, brie, roquefort) wrapped in paper from the deli and semi-skimmed milk.
Oops, must get back to work, but I can britpick kitchens!

I may drive you crazy with a few more questions. I hope you won't mind!
