Ah, the joyous day.
Mar. 12th, 2006 07:29 pmThere is little more satisfying to me than a day of getting things done.
I am very geeked to say that I FINALLY finished that $&*$@# chapter 73.
AND, if that wasn't enough, I went back and used my beta's revisions and
lfire1's Britpicking and revised the first twenty chapters. And I uploaded the revised chapters to all three archives, which took a good chunk of time. (I still might upload them to the Archive tonight.) I have to save it in a different file for each of the archives because of their different uploading requirements (ffnet needs a copy with notes, FA needs a clean copy, SH needs a copy with the html inserted). And once uploaded, I have to do all the little tweaks. It really took a while, but it was absolutely worth it. I screwed up chapter one completely somehow, and had to reload it to FA and ffnet, but other than that, I think it all went well.
Though I'm sure that somebody at FA is weeping once they see twenty chapters in the queue. I only hope that they don't have to read over the revisions, and that they have a streamlined process now that they've changed the submissions process.
I'm fairly certain that the folks at SH won't care, either, I think that the revised copies might just go directly out on the web.
Also, I have been ripping CD after CD to compile several discs for my friends' store in WI. They loaned me almost their entire CD collection, about 300 discs, and I'm trying to put together a cohesive set of songs, hopefully about 50 CDs of music.
Anyway, I see that I have two reviews already, which makes me squee like a crazy thing, and I must go and read them. One of them is
cantatrix05, who spoils me silly because she writes the most in-depth reviews.

I agree--he is sweet. He's a good kitty putting up with all these silly males I live with. (The husband and our three sons, who are usually referred to as orclings.)

Date: 2006-03-14 01:20 am (UTC)SH is Sycophant Hex (http://occlumency.sycophanthex.com/index.php) (well, to be perfectly accurate, my fics are at Occlumency, which is one of the archives at SH), and you need to have an account there to read fics. They take about 3-5 days, I think. Best bet for now is fanfictionnet. :)
