you know, the giggly flighty one with big breasts usually annoys the crap out of me too...so the archenemy thing is oddly appropriate.
Have I ever told you about Lisa Balcer, my archenemy? She and I have been at odds since kindergarten. Both horsecrazy, the best artists and top of the class...only she grew up to be thin and popular and (in my opion) kind of boring and close minded. I went toward a more bohemian bent. The competition continued. She was valedictorian, I was third in the class due to a B+ in gym; my SAT scores were five points higher than hers. We both competed for the CMU Centralis Scholarship; both of us scored high enought that as we reached the deadline for enrollment in college neared, we both had a very good chance to get it. I ended up choosing MSU for its Honors College, and when I turned down my application to CMU, I found out that I was two names down from the top of the list. Lisa was name 11. She ended up getting the full ride scholarship; I loved MSU but have $32000.00 in student loans.
The perfect ending for the story? Last year I got a junk mail magazine in the mail, one of those swimsuit ones? And who's on the cover in a thong? Lisa Balcer Ray, with a nosejob, big fake breasts, and dyed blonde hair. She has a website of topless modeling shots and a husband and a house in Hawaii and one in Florida. And no student loans.
*sigh*
I played a ranger/cleric in D&D, btw. I got your back. :)
I better watch out...you being my archenemy and all. Just don't jiggle too much in my direction, or I'll have to get out my patented "Dwarf-Away" stungun.
Yeah, and I was a half-elf. Basically, I wanted all to roll as many times as possible for everything, because the dice were the best part. At least at first, when I was the gamer-girlfriend rather than an actual gamer in my own right. LOL! Ah, memories.
Bizarre how life turns out, hmmm? One of the girls I went to high school with is now a reporter for one of the evening news channels. Another was a model. I guess I have to say I never felt like I was in competition with them, especially since I went to community college after HS so I never met up with any of them afterwards.
I knew I could trust my back to you... ;) I can't remember what I was anymore. My crazy character name was Laurelleaf something-or-rather and she was an Elven something. Thief, I think, or thief/fighter, oh, I can't remember.
