Weird thesaurus moment.

I am finishing up chapter 57, and was looking up different words for anger, when I came upon this portion of the entry...

burst, explosion, paroxysm, storm, rage, fury, desperation; violence; fire and fury; vials of wrath; gnashing of teeth, hot blood, high words.

So beautiful, this entry. I love my old copy of Roget's.

Honestly, there should be a little illustration of Severus next to it, preferably holding vials of wrath.

Join the read-the-thesaurus-or-dictionary just for fun club. The problem (or beauty) with the thesaurus is that the entries refer you to other entries. Sort of like surfing the web.

I love my Roget's. I have a Webster's thesaurus as well, but it is a thesaurus in dictionary form, and it isn't the same.

My Roget's is an update of the original, and it is very old-fashioned, but lovely nonetheless.

When I worked at the bookstore a woman came in and said her daughter needed a "saurus" for class. Turns out they thought it was "the saurus".

Lol! That sounds like a good potion ingredient - 'add 2 vials of wrath'... Severus would certainly have no problem with that one, especially if someone like Neville or Harry were around!!

I am really thinking about using something from that entry in a fic...especially the "hot blood, high words" portion. It's just too good to languish unheeded in a musty book.
