Crazy week.

I have lots of appointments. I was hoping to write in the afternoons/evenings, but I'm still making the Calls from Hell. Today's was the best yet. A store (THE store in their area, big and well-established) that I've been calling since MARCH 1st finally said no. No! 28 days later they say no! Now I'm a month closer to the trip, which gives whatever store decides to host me that much less time to advertise. Even worse, the owner apparently was going to be out of town that weekend, so it probably was going to be a no from DAY ONE.
< /foaming at mouth >
Anyway, I had hoped to write some more, but then I remembered that I had to list stuff on eBay, so I did that instead. It hasn't been doing well for me since I came back from AZ, but thankfully last week was a bit better, so I'm crossing my fingers. It's like, if you're gone for a while, you have to start from scratch again.
Saw my parents for dinner yesterday, which was wonderful. We meet in a cute little town on the western coast of MI whenever I go to this one particular store. Anyway, on the way back I saw a sign that amused me mightily:
COFFEE
CAPPUCINO
SHAKES
CHIA TEA
So if you ever want some chia tea, you know where to go. Aw, c'mon, it's not that bad. It grows on you.

Date: 2006-03-29 12:48 pm (UTC)I absolutely despise when people do this. I think when situation occurs it's because they are embarrassed to give you that "no" upfront, and they think stalling will make it easier. Trust me - give me a "yes" or "no" answer right away and I'll respect you a hell of a lot more in the morning. Don't waste my time and allow me an opportunity to make other arrangements!
If I'm not mistaken, I think Starbucks now has a lot of chia products, including a Frappaccino. 'Course, I wouldn't know to much about chia being addicted into their Double Chocolate-Chip Frappaccino! XD

Date: 2006-03-29 02:16 pm (UTC)I'm just totally disgusted with the whole process. I thought it would take two weeks, tops, to get everything sorted out. Now it's been over a month, and I still have gaping holes. Argh!
Sorry to vent, just going crazy here.
I used to drink a lot of Starbucks chia, but it's black tea based, so I avoid it now that I've found green tea based chia. I'm very unused to caffeine, so the green tea version is much nicer, though I also love the rooibos version, which is red tea based and has no caffeine at all.
