Awesome plant.
Awesome plant.
Love how lush it is. And the ferns.

Papaya.
Papaya.
One of the best things about Hawai'i is the fresh fruit. This is a small section of papaya trees on a little plantation.

Banyan tree.
Banyan tree.
This 133 year old banyan tree is ENORMOUS. It's in Lahaina, and it takes up an entire block. This is just the main trunk. There are numerous other "trunks" surrounding it. Had to take the picture at night, so it looks awful...I forgot about the awesome "nightframing" thing on my camera.

Trees.
Trees.
A fan palm tree, and one of those fascinating firs that grows upward.

The tree was very nearly a religious experience. It was absolutely incredible. Just beautiful.

Wonderful trees... the forms they grow into are amazing!

The second one with the huge trunk is very impressive. I actually like the night effects of your camera...

That's a Norfolk Island Pine. I used to have a huge on at my old house. They sell little ones, from a foot high up, here as living Christmas trees.

I just love tropical plants. When I went to Australia in 1991, the size of some of the things we have as common houseplants was amazing, like fiddleleaf figs.

I know! It's crazy. The balmy weather makes them grow into monsters! So very cool.
