Hawai'i photos, part four: Plants.
Jul. 9th, 2006 03:48 pmPart one: animals
Part two: Black Lava Coastline of Pa'iloa Bay at Wai'anapanapa State Park
Part three: Misc hotel pics, waterfall, etc.
Part five: Sunsets.
Part six: Tidepools.

Awesome plant.
Love how lush it is. And the ferns.

Papaya.
One of the best things about Hawai'i is the fresh fruit. This is a small section of papaya trees on a little plantation.

Banyan tree.
This 133 year old banyan tree is ENORMOUS. It's in Lahaina, and it takes up an entire block. This is just the main trunk. There are numerous other "trunks" surrounding it. Had to take the picture at night, so it looks awful...I forgot about the awesome "nightframing" thing on my camera.

Trees.
A fan palm tree, and one of those fascinating firs that grows upward.

Fir tree detail.
Fir tree from the last pic.

Tree.
