valis2: Stone lion face (Last Sanguimagus)

It's finally done, and sent off to the archives. I'm absolutely thrilled that I finally finished it. I had a really great time writing it...I was able to do a lot in this chapter that was just plain fun. I'm really wondering about the reaction, though. I hope people enjoy it.

That is, if anyone is still reading tLS! Heh.

It's the longest chapter I've ever done...6800 words, holy cow. I had to fight with it at the end, but it came out the better for it, I hope.

Whee! ::is excited::

I did a partial reread last week and it held up wonderfully. : ) Really, I very rarely reread because ... ::yawn:: I'm awful that way.

I love your set up SO much though. Your OC is so wonderful and the dynamic between her and Severus so teased - I just really, really enjoy it.

I know you were looking for some concrit but I have none. I just lost myself in the story and didn't think about the fact that they were words on the paper. It all just worked for me. I'm sorry. : /

Also, I think I forgot to tell you that the journal you set up for it looks very good.

Anyway, yay - new chapter!

Wow, thank you so much! I'm so glad that the reread is going well--I really worked hard at revising the first twenty chapters to make them smoother, and I'm glad it paid off. Now if I can just get some time together to revise the next fifty-five...hee!

I love your set up SO much though.

I spent soooo damned much time in background...it's a bit excessive, really, but I wanted this to read kind of like book 6, and that's why I included Harry's POV and so much extra detail. I still haven't even approached JKR, of course, but I like to think that it's at least a bit more canon-oriented than some.

Some people won't read SS/OFC at all, and I'm so grateful that you took the time to try it. I can understand why people would want to skip the pairing...I've never really found one that just jumps out at me and makes me want to read the whole thing. At some point I always jump ship.

I've come to the conclusion that the people who read these long, epic SS/OFC fics are saints. hee!

I'm glad that the comm looks okay! Once I have more chapters uploaded I'll advertise it. I just don't want to tell people about it now, and flood their fpage with entries.

Hope you enjoy the new chapter!

I haven't read ANY fanfic for months, but I'm very pleased you updated. I hate reading WIPs piecemeal, so I think I have a fair few chapters of yours backed up now. I'll enjoy catching up, because it's a great story.

I thought recently that I would go mental if I had to read a story like this. I know there are a few people who wait for stories to be finished before trying them.

So glad you're still interested in it! The last few chapters have been quite large (well, for me at least), and they've been some of my favorites.

I skimmed through it. Much better with the changes. It is a very good chapter.

I agree completely...it is better with the changes. I'm so glad that you pointed out the things you did...it made me look at it a little more carefully. I think I was just in too much of a hurry, and I did some of my more common mistakes, and I really need to pay attention next time. :)

I'm still reading it. I will when I get home. I feel guilty reading that at work, any HP stuff, so I never do. I justify lj at work because some is disability related and I work for a disability related org.

I absolutely love it! What a clever chapter. So complex with the newly found office and all that. They are so complicated in their kissing. It's cute. I love it.

Yay! I'm glad you are reading again.

When I first started writing tLS, I really wasn't certain about it. I had a couple reviewers, and they said some interesting things.

You were the first person who started reviewing every chapter...back when I was still only on ffnet and fictionalley! I remember putting up chapters and just crossing my fingers that you would review. I'm always so happy when you do.

I still remember when you wanted to make Sarah some fried chicken. That cracked me up, and it was just so sweet.

Thank you.

Aww thanks. That really makes me feel appreciated. I love TLS as do two of my friends. I sort of fell out of all fandom, mostly work and health related stuff keeping me busy. I am now back reading some.

I still think it is cool that Sarah has my name. Grin. Does she have a middle name? Grin. I guess I sort of connected with her, her chronic pain, her being different, etc. etc. She was easy for me to connect to, more than any ofc I have read in fandom.

Must go eat it is getting late despite the fact that my lap top has the wrong time.

I'm so glad you like tLS so much!

Sarah's middle name is "Elizabeth". ;) It's awesome that you felt a connection to her! That's what I hope for. I was a little afraid that she was too cold, too remote, and that no one would empathize with her. I'm so glad you do!

My best friend through Jr high and high school was Sara elizabeth. She had cerebral palsy and with me being blind we were quite the pair. My middle name is Louise.

I guess me empathizing with such a cold character says something about my personality. Blushes.

You're back?! Wow! It's been awhile...I thought you'd abandoned LJ for good. Or evil. Or some really yummy cookies.

Haha... I've found that I can't keep a blog/LJ going properly, so I'm just lurking around in the shadows.

It's nice when you post new chapters, takes my mind off of life for a while. I look forward to new ones.

I'm so glad you're still reading. It's been slow going, recently, but I really hope to keep moving forward in the story. *crosses fingers*
