I haven't had people over in ages.
I was thinking about possible party ideas, and one occurred to me...Retro Games Night.
I'll be home for three months (nearly), with only one trip, so this is a perfect time to have a little get-together. I have lots of obsolete game systems, complete with plenty of games. I have an Atari 2600, an Intellivision, an Odyssey 2, Pong, NES, SNES, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis (CD), Turbografx 16, along with Gamecube & PS2 (I may run out and get Xbox tomorrow with Fable). The Atari games are absolutely hysterical. You just have to see the Indiana Jones one to realize how misguided movie-to-video-game ports used to be.
Anyway, I thought...I'll pull the two TVs into the living room, set them up with all of these systems, and have all the games nearby, and we can just swap off systems all night long and drink.
Does this sound like fun, or does it sound idiotic?

Now I'm going to have to play again when the baby goes to bed. He's 3 and always wants to 'play' too...and he's way too smart to realized that his controller isn't doing anything...lol.

Did you ever play Arcana on the SNES? It was a terrific game. First person perspective, lots of fun!
Some of those games had such repetitive music that I would turn the music down and simply play fun CDs. Every time I play Arcana I get the urge to listen to the Scorpions and Matthew Sweet, *grin*.
