More random things.
Nov. 14th, 2005 06:53 pmMust finish the smutmas fic.
I have two chapters of tLS in my head (big chapters full o' stuff! w00t) and ready to be written, three entries of floating cats fic plus links to new floating cat fanart, an entry about the overspecialization of products in the States, this bizarre, dark Snape ficlet/poetry bit, a rant about my grandmother and Thanksgiving...but I won't let myself touch a single one of them until I finish the smutmas fic. I've already gone through the phase of "This is the worst thing that's ever been written, it's like a HP Harlequin romance, I hate it forevah" and onto the next stage of "Honest reactions, that's what it's all about", and hopefully tonight I'll end the torture and get to that exhilirating moment where it all feels like skating on ice instead of rollerblading on coconuts.
Plus I've spent a lot of time organizing SS h/c links. I have over a hundred already. It's going to be more work than expected, but it should be a pretty decent collection when it's finished. If you have any links to offer, here's the entry for it.

Those Katamari games are addictive. Just sayin'.

As usual, when I have one thing that wants doing, I do other things. Over the weekend I went through my closet, my wardrobe, and the leetle dresser, and now have three bags of clothes to give to Goodwill. I also cleaned the bathroom, and dusted. Which meant that this morning, my poor eyelid was all swollen up and wah. I remember that from the first surgery...any little bit of dust or chemicals, and ouch. Ah well. I also sorted out the pennies. What a scintillating entry this is.

I'm at the point where whenever I see that there is a message waiting for me from eBay I break out into cold sweat.
I had a Clueless Woman win two auctions. I combine shipping, but she paid me for the items before I could send her a custom invoice, and she paid full shipping on both. So I refunded her the second shipping fee with a note that I had combined the shipping, and I mailed the items.
Sometimes eBay screws up and thinks that buyers haven't paid, and I think that is what is happening here, because CW sent me another payment for the second item a few days later. The full amount, including shipping. I refunded it again, and included another note, explaining that she has already paid for the items, and I've already sent them, and that's it. Under eBay help it says, if the Buyer is not contesting it but the system still thinks you haven't paid, then ignore the "reminders".
Today, a week later, ANOTHER PAYMENT. I'm really getting ticked off, because Paypal charges for each payment transaction. So this time I spent ten minutes writing out a Truly Epic Email with amounts, transaction numbers, a link to the eBay Help page describing this particular situation, and a heartfelt plea telling her she owes me nothing and to stop making PayPal happy. If I get another payment from her I'll be so tempted to keep it just for the expense of this aggravation.
