Rereading the smutmas fic, I realize that, a) it's hotter than I imagined, b) it isn't awkward like I thought, and c) it really is nearly finished.

I'm really ecstatic now. I had myself super worked up and worried over it.

It's one of those things where it matters to me how well it goes over because a) it's being written for someone, an actual person, and I really want them to like it, b) it's anonymous so there will be (hopefully) no expectations about it when it's first read and then later when the names are announced hopefully people will think, wow, didn't expect that from her, cool, and c) it's my first try at this sort of fic.

I am really feeling relieved. Now, to locate mariannelee and pray that she can do a rush beta job...

Isn't that funny? If you had asked me this morning, I would have said that I hated it and it wasn't anything that I wanted it to be.

But I've just reread it with a "fresh" mind and it seems hot, and interesting, just as I'd hoped. PWP, so I'm not expecting much, mind you. ;)

Ummm, I know you're very busy, but I was wondering if I could ask a little favor. If, whenever you have a free chance, I posted a short story on my last LJ entry. It's for one of my classes that has to deal with Gothic literature and we had to write our own. I really enjoy your stories and admire your writing, so I was interested in your reaction/opinion. If you can't that's fine, just thought I would ask. Random, I know, we don't really chat, but...*shrugs* Thought I'd put the word out. I shall goeth now *hops off*
