gnashing my eBay teeth
Apr. 9th, 2008 11:29 amI have this one customer who buys from me very irregularly. I think she's purchased four things over the last three years.
She is absolutely idiotic. Seriously. She seems normal (her emails are spelled correctly, punctuated correctly, and are grammatically sound), but she is, in fact, a moron. She asks the stupidest questions about the product.
Every time I receive a message from her (and there are at least three or four for each item she purchases), I break out in hives. Seriously. They're always really obvious--if she had read the listings, it would have been solved and the message unnecessary. For example, she will ask how much something weighs, even though the weight is in the description.

To make a long story short, brainiac sent me a message today saying that she was totally disappointed with the size of the item; it seemed much larger in the photo.
So I had to waste my time explaining to her that a) all of my pictures are sized to the same pixel height or width in order to use every inch of the space that I'm given, which means smaller things are bigger and bigger things are smaller, b) I do not include coins for scale because it looks cheap and wastes space that could be highlighting the product, and c) THE MEASUREMENTS WERE IN THE DESCRIPTION and made it VERY clear that the items were small.
Does she expect life-size photos of cars in eBay Motors? I mean, seriously, this is the stupidest stupidity ever. I'm sick of her idiocy and hope she never bids again.
She has only one redeeming quality, and that is that she isn't going to neg me for her own ineptitude.
