So I didn't really get anything done over the weekend.
Saturday, my sister came over and we celebrated her birthday with steaks and Ironman. Is it sad that I've only seen three movies this year, and two out of three of them have been Ironman? lol.
I saw my grandmother yesterday for Mother's Day. She was feeling so poorly that we ended up not taking her out; the birds have been molting, the apartment is a pig sty and had to be cleaned, and her asthma was acting up horribly. I have no idea what is going on at the Assisted Living place, but this is ridiculous--if there is an issue with her, then they need to address it, not neglect it. Her carpeting is stained and filthy and she's only been there six months. My mother thinks that the cleaning crew is angry because my grandmother has accused them all of stealing. She's probably right, but still--what is going on? They used to vacuum all the time, and now it's only us vacuuming.
Then I went to Lane Bryant and bought new clothes. Nothing that special. I had a coupon, which takes the sting out of it.
Tonight we're taking my mom out for dinner, which will be, as it always is, interesting.
I was going to sign up for the auction checkout thingy, but then I realized that I'll be gone until June, so it would be a waste with a capital waste. So I'll wait on that.
It is weird how serendipitous LJ can be. I've been agonizing over buying moar socks lately, because I have very few pairs of summer socks right now. I've also noticed that the stripy socks that I love must be some sort of naughty synthetic, because they smell awful by the end of the day. So just when I'm wallowing in despair about buying new socks, the lovely
earthenwood mentions the source for her absolutely awesome sock majesticness, which is
Sock Dreams, and I went to their site and bought a bunch of absolutely amazing socks. I'm so totally geeked, and will report when the socks arrive. Hopefully that will be soon! eee!!
