From a review in Entertainment Weekly...
Oct. 4th, 2006 06:13 pmKit Metcalf isn't your usual protagonist, a Grey Goose-swilling, therapy-seeking, Nietzsche-quoting, martial-arts-kicking stripper.

Date: 2006-10-04 10:28 pm (UTC)When she's attacked in the strip-club parking lot and her cop sister is later murdered, Kit suspects her sibling's supposedly nice-guy fiancé, who's been secretly watching her dance. Meanwhile, she has a testy relationship with her Texas Ranger dad, who's always favored dearly departed Sis. She'll find the killer, of course, after several plot twists and pole dances. But the real juice is in Kit's tortured internal monologue, in which Wozencraft paints an alternately witty and harrowing picture of dysfunction. B+
