I'm doing a show in Ohio this month, so have applied for a "Permanent Transient Vendor's License", which amused me tremendously.

I'm running out the door to WI. A very short trip, in fact; I'll be back tomorrow night, believe it or not, laden down with merchandise, and Sprecher's root beer, of course.

Now, it could be worse.

While transient has undeniable connotations, they could have said "vagrant".

Now that you've got the "permanent transient vendor" licence, will you be getting a sort of horse drawn pedlars wagon, like in the movies?
