[livejournal.com profile] amanuensis1 dazzles.

The Happy Half-Blood Prince, Snarry, fantastic. There is no rating provided, but I'd rate it at PG. There is no sex involved at all, it's just a fantastic story of redemption, and it's really a terrific read, full of great dialogue and characterizations.

Thank you so much! This is the second marvelous read you've rec'd in as many days - the other being the Sherlockian Snupin by [livejournal.com profile] ebonlock, which I adored. It's quite filled my reading time to overflowing, and I'm afloat on a sea of fictive bliss at the moment. *blows kiss*

Much appreciation for your excellent taste!

I have this strange feeling of companionship with you...like we have a very similar mindset, and very similar tastes. I still treasure your review on one of my poems! Honestly, there was very little reaction to it, so your kind words meant a great deal to me. *blows kiss in return*

Have you also read The Medicamentarius (http://rinsbane.livejournal.com/36036.html) by [livejournal.com profile] rinsbane? It's probably one of the best things I've read this year, hands-down. Utterly awesome.

I don't rec a lot, honestly (under 20 fics total so far), but here's my rec entries (http://valis2.livejournal.com/tag/recs), just in case you're interested.

Ah, that delights and intrigues me. I tend to be mostly a lurker, so I'm also a bit surprised. But in a good way. *g*

Poetry is one of my lifelong passions, and so very few people either cherish it or practice it, that I always get specially excited when I encounter it in unexpected places. It's such a rare sighting, and so rarely pulled off with wit or style (or an understanding of form!), that to find such a thing in fandom thrilled me to pieces. It's only happened twice, and yours was one of the occasions. I was, in a word, floored.

The Medicamentarius! Not only have I read it, but I had the unparalleled honor and pleasure of being its beta. [livejournal.com profile] rinsbane dazzles me. She is incredibly gifted. In another era, I'd no doubt be her acolyte, following her around holding the pot of ink that contains her personal quill. In fact, I just re-read the story about two weeks ago, and the scene where Snape finally admits his name and breaks Fidelius made my eyes sting just like the first time.

Rec entries! *glee* Ah, thank you again! I'm off to investigate right now. *dives in*

My goodness! *blushes* Poetry is very rare in fandom, it seems. I've seen a lot of emo!teen poetry, of course, but mature poetry is very hard to find, which always surprises me. In fact, I laughed and laughed recently because someone posted a poem somewhere, and the "Warnings" section listed "Poetry". Ha!

I've only read a few serious attempts, and they've been like water in the desert, honestly.

You were the beta for Medicamentarius?! hahaha! Well, that goes to show you how out of it I am...I even had to look the fic up for the link, and I didn't notice. [livejournal.com profile] rinsbane is one of my favorite authors, absolutely, and I love reading her work.

I hope there are a few gems there in the recs...Flora and Fauna (http://bunnyfarm.popullus.net/pages/floraandfauna.html) immediately pops to mind, it's fabulous.

Thank you for the lovely conversation!

Thank you for recommending this. I have a very small number of fanfic-reading hours in my life, and the title of this pulled me in. It was a lovely read. :-)

Oh, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Once in a while I want something really lovely, and it doesn't always have to be smutty, so it was wonderful to read this. Refreshing, actually.

Aw! *blush* Thank you so much! I only do it rarely, for fics that really get to me. ;) I'm so glad that you enjoyed it.
